Escape
What I do care about though, is blowing up Cara and her baby.
“Cara, I am going to climb up on the roof.” I explain. “Then I am going to bust through the skylight in the roof and pull you guys out through the it.” I make my way over to a nearby tree. It doesn’t look too bad. Grabbing a branch I quickly swing my way onto a higher branch. So goes, until I am level with the roof of the cabin. Before jumping, I stop and look out. This could be it, this could be the last moment of my life. Have I lived a good one? Probably not, if I live through this, will I change? Probably not. With that sobering thought, I jump.
