Soon, the terrain ahead began to change, and the flat landscape turned into high mountains. Countless peaks were rising from the ground. Blaze led everyone through the peaks and landed on a platform. This was originally a huge mountain formed by flattening it from the top. Therefore, it was very spacious. There were many mountain peaks around, all smaller than the ones below. After reaching the platform, Blaze took out something that looked like a conch, put it to his mouth, and blew on it. The sound was melodious but not loud. Yet it spread throughout the entire extraterritorial battlefield.

"You don't need my blessing." Cassidy's expression became tense, but Cadence's following words made her relax. "He hates me so much. What could I possibly do to stop you?" Cassidy picked up the glass of water and placed it into Cadence's hands while gently saying, "Then, help me one last time." A wave of dread surged through Cadence's heart. *bang* *bang* The resounding echoes of Ravyn's air projectiles reverberated through the air, clearing a path for Zamonte and Liriene to safely descend onto the ground. As they landed, Zamonte turned his attention to Ravyn, who had arrived from a distance, gliding through the tumultuous scene. "Are you heading to the beach as well, Lavender?" He asked Ravyn. "The black sands ahead are treacherous; they'll leave us completely shredded before we even make it to the shoreline. It seemed impossible to proceed any further."

My exit route to the flatlands was Arizona Alligator Lizard (AAL for short - I was still grappling with there being ALLIGATORs of any stripe in the Southwest DESERT). We were also shown the places not to go - where the pitfalls, dead-drops, tripwires and 'blast zones' were. Blast zones were pre-prepared areas with an underground sprinkler system that would douse the field with some sort of flammable substance, then ignited in such a way as to surround and choke/incinerate those boxed up in the trap. They were cunningly placed to minimize fuel expenditure while maximizing carnage.
