"The 183rd Chapter is the end of the Rebellion," I declared, my violet-silver eyes locking onto the future. "But it's the First Chapter of the Pack of the World."

“You really think you can raise a little monster in here? Please. You’ll melt the first time it smiles.” I don’t answer. I just stare at the tent flap, watching the firelight flicker against it. I closed the book and pressed my hand against my chest. “I'll find the truth, even if no one believes me.” I made a promise to myself. I laid down to sleep, but my mind couldn't quiet.
