CHAPTER 4 As we walked up to the enormous double doors, I was in awe. They were made of a deeply dark brown wood with gigantic glass panes and were covered with intricate wrought iron. They swung open as if they knew we were coming. The grand foyer seemed as though it was filled with gold as the light flood out to where I stood. There were two stairways making almost a full circle going up to a second floor. Golden railings wrapped them all the way up with a black carpet covering their steps. Everything seemed so surreal.

And I knew it was protected by a state-of-the-art security system, and even had its own ‘panic’ room. “Apparently, they’re all the rage with the well to do folks around here,” Adam explained.
