One Night with the Hybrid King
The dagger, still embedded in Alexander, begins to spin on its own, driving deeper, drawing another groan of agony from him.
My eyes shift to Aria. She’s lying on the floor, trying to get up. Her face is marked by effort and pain, but there’s still a spark of determination in her eyes. I decide to end this once and for all. My hand rises, glowing with magical energy as I begin to prepare the final spell. I launch the magic directly at Aria, but before it reaches its target, a protective shield erupts around her, bright and powerful. My magic ricochets violently off the shield, diverting and striking young Thorne, who lets out a scream of pain before collapsing to the floor, unconscious.
