Cain explained that this was where new wolves practiced shifting in a controlled environment away from the main pack. "First shift is always the hardest because you're fighting your instincts instead of working with them. You need to stop thinking and start feeling. Let your body do what it wants to do." "That's not helpful advice." "I know. But there's no instruction manual for this. Everyone's first shift is different." He stepped back to give me space. "Close your eyes and focus on what you're feeling. All that pressure under your skin, all that energy that needs an outlet. Follow it instead of pushing it down."

Of course, she’s gorgeous. “That was a great shift,” Greg adds, switching straight into instructor mode. “For your second shift, you two did really well. We’ll work on some meditation techniques to speed it up, and we’ll get you shifting mid-fight too. Eventually, you’ll be able to shift on the move like a pro.” He smirks.

We’re both dressed in comfortable clothing as I take her hand and walk to the edge of the forest. “I’m nervous,” she says, squeezing my hand. “It’s going to hurt, right?” “You’ve fought me before and you’re asking if shifting will hurt?” I say, chuckling. “It’s a comfortable pain you get used to, don’t worry.” Taking her to a clearing in the forest next to a stream so she can shift away from prying eyes, we strip off our clothing and I ask her to take calming breaths. “Clear your mind and think only about your wolf. Speak with her, let her know she’s about to take your place, and feel the soil beneath her paws again. Ask her to go slow because too much pain at a time will cause your body to

Ugh.. such a wonderful story but so, so heartbreaking.. this one definitely rendered me speechless at the end, after an already emotional roller coaster throughout. So well written, though! As always, amazing job author. Excited to see what’s to come!

The Accidental Werewolf

The Accidental Werewolf

“How?” I’m starting to realise that not only do I know nothing about being part of a pack or werewolf society, I also know nothing about being a shifter. “I usually just tie a pair of shorts around my leg. Others sometimes carry their clothes in their mouths, but I find it inconvenient.” “How am I supposed to do that?” “What?” he asks confused. “Do I tell my wolf to remember the clothes before we shift?” “I don’t under— Maya, do you give your wolf full control when you shift?”

I had a hard time liking the FL's sarcasm/strong opinions in the first chapters, but she grew on me as I continued reading. The writing is good, and so are the descriptions. Hardly any grammatical errors, and the pacing is fine. Great job author!

Is this book done? I hope there is more, it’s a great book!! I know I shouldn’t but I kind of feel bad that abbadon died. I can’t say he’s a good guy for sure but I kind of feel sorry for him in a way. He did seem to love her in his own way

His Fated is the Forbidden Heiress

His Fated is the Forbidden Heiress

"For now, just tell her you're busy with family stuff." I type a quick reply to Laura, promising details later and asking for her notes from Friday's classes that I missed. It feels so mundane compared to everything else happening, but that normalcy is like a lifeline I'm desperately clinging to. "So," I say, looking between my half-brothers and Clint, "what exactly does shift control training involve? Because I really don't want to accidentally wolf out in the middle of calculus tomorrow." "Breathing exercises, mainly," Eric explains. "Learning to recognise the triggers that initiate a shift and how to suppress them."

I just want to prepare you as much as I can. I placed my chin on her head and nodded so she could feel it. Patting my arm, she picked up the cups. 'For now though, we are going to train your body for partial shifting. It’s going to be frustrating but I promise, you will get it down.' “I can partially shift already. My hands turn into claws.” 'When you're angry?' I blushed stepped away from her. 'That’s what I thought. You need to do it at any time. Not just your claws, hands or feet. Your entire body needs to be able to shift. Every single part.'

Night Wolves

Night Wolves

"I want one group over here, and another group facing them over here!" "Well, here goes nothing," Seven said as he jogged off, but I stayed on the opposite side. "Go!" Eve said, and the first two shifters ran straight into each other, and both fell backward. They yelped a bit and then went back to the end of their lines. "Anticipate what your enemy will do!" Eve yelled. "Next two, go!" The following two shifters ran toward each other, and one went high, and the other went low, using his shoulder to flip his opponent.

Straying Echo: Fighting to Escape an Obsessed Alpha

Straying Echo: Fighting to Escape an Obsessed Alpha

Standing on my tippy toes, I pout until he leans down so that I can kiss him as I am completely unable to reach otherwise, because of our size difference. Looking around, I was shocked by the beautiful clearing filled with wildflowers and sunshine. Beaming at him, I gave him a quick hug before nervously playing with my fingers. I’d only ever started shifting once, and it was an unconscious action and we never completed it. Thankfully, Atlas seemed to know how I felt, and talked me through step by step, starting with removing our clothing so they wouldn’t be torn to shreds when we shifted. He talked me through every moment, including the worst part-the first shift is also the most painful, an

Lost to Find

I've never controlled Hetty's body before, it's awkward. As I become more aware of everything I start to feel an itch under the surface. Pins and needles trying to push through Hetty's skin. I know this feeling, we're about to shift, switching to my form, my body. I hold it off as I get my bearings. I hear a car. Help! I run as fast as Hetty's legs can carry me. We can run faster if we shift. I push the shift forward as I keep moving us towards the sound, I get to the treeline just as the shift takes over.

REJECTED AND REDEEMED

How to plant her feet so she wouldn't have to shift or be shaken by her opponent, how to shift her weight and hold the sword so she doesn't fall nor the sword flies out of her hands. “Turn your hips the other way,” he said standing behind her, he adjusted her shoulder trying to put her at a balance. “ Okay, shift your right leg forward, or the left if it balances you more. Try not to use as much strength at first, save it for the last fight.” And slowly, she started to improve.
