I'll not put up with it and I'll quickly teach her to fear me. As amazing as I am in my human form, it holds no comparison to my dragon, which is superior to all others. My mind flashes to Acasia, Bastian's mate. Yes, she is beautiful, but all her damn rules ruin it. It doesn't matter that she is the only female dragon in existence. Today, I choose my new bride at the claiming ceremony. The bride's training will begin immediately after our return to my lair. The sooner she stops the waterworks and settles in, the better it will be for her.

“Do you really have a way to start it?” “Of course,” she snorts, as if her answer was obvious. “All TRUE Navigators do.” I’m really getting tired of her snobbish attitude. “Well, if you can start it, I can finish it.” I then try to explain all of the study and training I had received from the Magi. “On Terra, we have a rare type of dragon–a shadow dragon. We can use the void to travel from one place on our planet to another, as long as we have an idea of where we are going.”

By dragon law, I need to have one in the next five years if I want to continue my rule, if I do not produce one, my insane brother could try to claim the throne, and no one would want that.

" Blizzard points with his chin at the keys around Omar's waist. I reached for them, rushing to unlock their metal wrist shackles. I unlock Blizzard first, then rush to my mother, Naomi. I was almost done with hers when Omar roared behind us, fully shifting into his skyscraper dragon. His giant footsteps shook the ground, causing stalactites to fall from the ceiling. I unlocked the cuffs in time to push her out of the way from Omar's tail slash. Rushing outside, we jumped over the bridge's wall and ran along the falling castle wall to the clearing where we trained earlier.

She turned to me, “He sent this for you, Katalea. Work on your weather spells, they can’t fight in extreme weather. Do you know what he’s talking about?” Leave it to Dakari to still be teaching, even while being held prisoner in a dragon’s lair. I would do what he asked. “I do. Go home everyone, we start training at first light.”
