Tears overflowed my eyes. “Then tell me who’s hurting you, Spade.” The sudden tone change startled me. “I don’t know. A monster.” I covered my face. “I’m scared. Please, come and help me.” “Do you want this to end?” The voice hardened. “Yes.” “Then answer me honestly, Spade. No more lying.” She sounded angry now. “I swear I’m not lying. It’s a man without a face. A tall man with a tattoo of a snake on his right hand. He’s scary. His eyes are red. He’s a monster. Please, help me.”

"You need your strength." "You need it more," she said simply. Warmth spread through me. The burning faded a little. The pain dulled, but her face had gone pale. Before I could thank her, the ground trembled beneath us. Trees shook. Birds scattered. Out of the shadows, they came—huge beasts, half-human, half-boar. Wereboars. Their tusks were sharp, their eyes wild. They were slow, but powerful. One wrong move, and we would be crushed.

What the hell was the Alpha saying? “Did you say the beast changed his mind?” “Yes—” “Are you certain these men are men from The Howling Abyss Pack? The last time I checked, Alpha Caius is a man of his word. How did this happen? Are you sure about this, my lord?” “I am more than certain. I'm sure because this man who has led the rest, is a Beta to the beast. That aside, I received a letter from Aegon, through Caius who confirmed it is not a lie.”

He swiped at the windshield, snarling like a rabid dog. I didn't hesitate to open my door, already in mid shift while I did. As an Alpha, I had a third half-wolf, half human form that closely matched that of the beast before me. Unlike him, my form was a true blend of human and wolf, produced only by dominant purebloods. His looked like a human wearing a wolf head with odd, mishapen paws to match. A monstrosity through and through. It turned it's red rimmed eyes to me and I noted how un-wolflike they were. Two enormous fangs jutted out the sides of it's face.

"Let's go. Never seen that kind of performance before." … When I arrived at the center, I realized my life had been dull until this moment. The center, like its name suggested, was filled with all kinds of beastfolk. Adorable rabbits, seductive foxes, imposing wolf-dogs, outgoing and cheerful puppies, and more. This was heaven. The beastfolk were performing on the stage with all they had, showing off their charm as best as they could. The performer with the highest votes would be crowned Best Beastfolk Star, and they'd be awarded with a handsome amount of prize money.

I moved like I was shedding my past, every motion a quiet rebellion against everything I’d lost. Vivia laughed beside me, spinning in her silver heels. “See? I told you the city could wake the dead!” I smiled, really smiled, and let the rhythm carry me. But it didn't last long. A fight broke out so fast the music didn’t even stop. A crash of glass. A snarl. Two wolves slammed into a table near the bar, sending bottles flying. One was a bulky male, with the mark of Crimson Fang, fierce and impulsive. The other, smaller but faster, bore the faint mark of Iron Claw, all sharp angles and cunning eyes.

(T.A.S) Well I guess, you learn something new every time, Beastmen Beavers seems kinda interesting, I hope there's a bit of them left, I kinda hope to be able to see them.
