Up on the bridge deck, the bright blue spotlights on the toll booths blinked twice, then went completely dark. The automated shadow-cannons dropped their heavy iron barrels toward the turning into useless chunks of dead metal. "The cannons are down!" Jarek yelled, looking at his screen with a triumphant laugh. "The lanes are clear!"

Alexander dove for it. Sliding across the concrete. He caught it inches before another mercenary reached it. Adrian cursed. “Kill them!” Gunfire erupted. The warehouse became a battlefield. Bullets tore through steel beams. Glass exploded. Smoke filled the air. Helena drew twin pistols with impossible speed. Three mercenaries fell before anyone realized she had fired. Vivienne fought beside her. Alexander tossed the detonator toward Lucien. “Catch!” Lucien grabbed it. Without hesitation… He crushed it beneath his boot.

She gasps with her eyes open looking for the enemy in depression. "Aham," Mr. Hogger applauds himself when he sees The Hunter and his men running towards the scene. "Didn't their parents teach them not to steal someone else's food," he pulls out a minigun, stands up, and puts a cigar in his mouth.

Fright hovers over their faces, they could swear they didn't know they deliberately dug their graves with their hands, thinking it was the best. Cannon raised his head back to the two, eyes blood-red in anger and bloodthirst. They both gulp down nervously. The black gun stares at him, then the gun in his hands. It was worthless shutting, but he didn't mind as he quickly gives orders to his minions who started shutting non-stop. Veins popped out of Cannon's face, he was so sought of them and wanted to end their miserable lives now, but then, he thought it wise to make them suffer.

I boomed, and the whoosh of the host of arrows releasing non-stop from their bows rose around me, as I watched some of the misshapen creatures fall back into the misty film, the iron tip of a poisoned arrow lodged firmly into their heads. ”Your highness! The cannons!” Kalden’s screams reached my ears through the battering of the rain and I gritted my teeth, feeling the tension sizzle like electricity in the air. They couldn't see the swarm from their position on the floor, but I had the vantage point.
