What excuse did the people have for being here? Shaking my head, I put my arms on my knees and noticed the scratch on the back of my hand. I got it today when we were hunting the Candir. Canis proles, or the descendant of dogs, who appeared to be a mixture of a golden retriever and a polar bear. When I tried to avoid the huge paws, my hand hit the bike stand. It had hurt a lot, but it was better than being caught by those snow-white beasts. Especially since his companion was lurking right behind it. I knew the Venator's job was dangerous, but would I really get injured every time I hunted? Even if it was just such small scratches?

There were rumours that they were also in charge of protecting the world, but when Zandor had been invaded, they disappeared. This made people realize that it was this was a baseless rumour.

He didn't want to imagine what she would be waiting for at her destination. ‘The hunters’ was all it said on the front, the same book Kyan and Zekan had spent days looking for. I quickly dashed out of the library and headed straight to see Talon. I pushed his heavy doors open to see him sitting in his large chair looking thoughtfully as Zekan and Kyan both sat at the centre table. They all looked straight at me as I bounded into the room. “I found this!” I rushed out as I held out the book to Talon. He looked at it as his eyes widened. “The book about the hunters!” He breathed out as he took it from me. Both Kyan and Zekan stood up from their seats in surprise.

Attention Hunter's Revenge is the sequel to the book 'The Mark'. It is highly recommended to read this after reading 'The Mark' for better understanding. Hunter's Revenge can be read as a stand-alone book, but I do not recommend it. I will not be providing insight to characters from 'The Mark'. So in order to properly enjoy the reading experience, I recommend not reading Hunter's Revenge without reading 'The Mark' first. I promise you won't regret reading it.

So, she thought it might be better just to stick to the facts for now. Of course there wasn't much there that she hadn't already seen and everything else was destroyed by Samuel. Which ultimately led her to just wander around the library and look through Lord Hunt's collection of books. A lot of them were old texts and classic literature. She had to admire his taste at least; he collected books that held interesting tales. Some from other parts of the world she had never been to. He was a well versed man it seemed, so how could he end up in a small town like Willow Creek?

He spent more time at the camp than at his own home. He didn't have many friends outside the Astral Guardian Camp and was probably closer to his guns than to people.

Almost no one came here anymore. Dust coated the shelves, and cobwebs stretched across forgotten corners. I lit a small lantern and began searching. Ancient journals. Old hunting records. Bestiaries. Legends passed down by hunters centuries ago. One after another, I pulled books from the shelves. My hands moved faster as my heart beat harder. "I know I've seen it..."
