I thought you would have learned your lesson by now. "I have," I reply fiercely as I step forward. "And tonight, I’m ending this." As Ethan and Arnold flank me, their eyes are fixed on Hunter. "We’re here to see justice done," Ethan says. His time is cold and determined. Hunter laughs. The sound is a harsh, grating sound. "You think you can defeat me? You’re delusional." "We’re more than that," Arnold retorts. "We’re united." And so the battle begins. Hunter lunges at us, his claws flashing through the air. I meet his attack head-on, and our blades clash with a bang. Ethan and Arnold strike in unison, and I can see that their movements are fluid and precise as usual.

So many emotions and thoughts zinging past it nearly makes me dizzy after barely hearing or feeling her for so long. “She thinks you are Tarot,” I say and the white witch doesn’t seem to flinch. Zek, Kira, and Jax shift joining the fight to help the pack warriors. They have so many rogues and warriors but they aren’t trained well so our warriors are picking them off easily. I smell death and a coppery tang fills the air. On the other side of the field, Tarot stands in a black cloak chanting violently her eyes no more than pools of swirling black. I couldn’t train with them because no one liked me but I needed to keep training. If the plan to get Louis failed, which I was almost positive it would, I had to rely on the Hunt, my plan A. I didn’t want to train with Devon today though because I felt like for some reason, he needed more time to process what I had told them. So, I went alone, before everyone had come to train and I took off my clothes, stored them in a tree and transformed.

I stood by while everything burned. Kaplan roared from below, a sound that ripped through the night like a battle cry. The wolves answered, their howls rising in defiance. Danny’s chest tightened. This was their moment. It had to be. Danny’s heart pounded as he watched Kaplan tear through the battlefield, white fur and glowing weapons cutting a path of fury through the demons. Hope stirred within him—a spark he hadn’t felt in far too long.

Enzo explained and Callum snapped his eyes in horror. "Otherwise they would have harmed Stephen". He said in a terrified tone. "They wouldn’t have actually. Since Stephen is hybrid. It's a bit different with him. The pack would have stood by him. Ace and Zol are vampires. They can only punish a vampire. Are you getting my point"? This time Max spoke.

Kellen takes my place battling against the giant god while Hunji fights throwing a combination of attacks at Aodh, ducking and weaving as Aodh counters his moves. *Incoming* Rhett manages to link me. I turn my head to see him and Mike advancing fast to our position. The dagger of death gripped firmly in Rhett’s palm. We needed to open up Aodh and make him vulnerable so Rhett could drive that dagger through his heart. Through rain and mud and unsettling weather, I resolved to find my composure. Taking a deep breath and letting the anxiety of the surrounding battle simmer until all I could feel and hear was my own heartbeat. Steadying it I cast my eyes back to Aodh.

I only took a moment to watch them flank Noya giving her a death glare that I remember seeing Dani using when I first met her. “Out of the line of fire, especially you, Nigel,” I shouted, waiting until I had a clear shot before opening fire on Wade. My attention turned to Wade as Caleb and Nigel moved to try and force him back. Caleb moved quickly, pulling Nigel out of the way, protecting him from getting in my way. If this were a normal situation, Wade would go down like a ton of bricks after the second shot struck him. But Wade is of Beta blood, and also, he’s in a berserker mode, so he wasn’t going to go down quickly.

But before I could touch the mystical bolt, heavy and hurried footsteps echoed from the top of the secondary stairs that connected the west wing to the outer weapons courtyard. Hunter’s massive silhouette appeared at the entrance of the corridor, holding his battle sword splattered with the blood of northern bettas. His gray battle wolf was no longer with him, and his Silver Moon armor bore deep dents, proof that he had barely survived the first clash with Lawrence in the courtyard. When his yellow eyes fixed on me, my strong body illuminated by silver energy, the visible regret and savage jealousy transformed his features into a mask of pure madness.
