The Last Howl
Alexander instructed softly.
I hurried out of the study and into the main room, my fingers moving quickly as I opened the desk drawer and pulled out the rolled maps. Returning to the study, I unrolled the thick paper across the center table, smoothing down the curled edges with my palms. Everyone crowded around the table, leaning in close.
Alexander pointed a long, calloused finger at a red-marked icon just twelve miles southwest of our position, past the edge of the forest reserve.
"A hunting supply lodge and regional outpost," Alexander noted. "If we hit that location, we can arm ourselves with proper ranged weapons and ammunition. From there, we alter our course."
