And so, I sat him on the sofa and after wrapping his hands with bandages, I gave him the tattered pages.
First, he looked at me hesitantly before his eyes finally dropped to the notebook, leafing through the eight pages. I swallowed as he began scanning, line by line, soaking in every word, every detail. Anger and fury ridged into the lines of his forehead and flickers of sadness shaded the hazel in his eyes. His fingers traced over the last line of my letter:
