I demanded, stepping in front of Rozen. "We're the hunters," one of them said, a smug smile on his face. "And we're here to rid the world of your kind." I could feel my heart racing as I stared at them, unsure of what to do. Rozen stood beside me, her stance defensive. "We're not here to cause trouble," she said, her voice calm. "Just let us go, and we won't harm you." The hunters just laughed at her words, and before we could react, they attacked. It was chaos, and I could feel my adrenaline pumping as I fought against them. I could hear Rozen's grunts as she fought alongside me, and it only fueled my determination to keep going.

He collapses with a shout, and I’m on him instantly, climbing over his body and driving my claws into his chest again and again until he stops moving beneath me. Eight. Blood coats everything now, soaking into the ground, splattered across the stalls. They had been gawking at Hunter with a mischievous grin playing on their lips, and Hunter didn't waste a chance to shoot them both with his penetrating glare. I noticed their pupils retrench as they stared at him, meaning they were conversing with each other through mindlink. It was brief, lasting a couple of seconds before Hunter turns left and straight down the now-empty halls.

Hunter cried uncontrollably, tilting his head back as tears flowed down his face. Suddenly, his expression changed, and he looked like a demon had possessed him. His fierce demeanor made Jade feel scared. "You're right. Asher is the one in the wrong. He ruined Emmy's life. Why should he get away with it while Emmy suffers?" Hunter got up from the floor and walked out aggressively. Jade saw that something was wrong with him and hurried to catch up, trying to stop him, but he brushed her aside. "Nothing can stop me. I must seek justice for Emmy."

Rowan lunged at the nearest hunter, his claws tearing through its metal neck, but three more took its place. They were fast, moving with a mechanical precision that made my heart race.
