A white-haired elder slowly walked out. Seeing him, Alberto clung to hope like a drowning man clutching a lifeline. "Overlord! Overlord, you're here! The heavens haven't abandoned me after all! Overlord, save me!" Alberto screamed hysterically. The white-haired elder, known as Overlord, snorted coldly and barked, "You disgraceful fool! Apologize!"

The women in the room sure had bodies that could enchant a man. “Oh, really?” Surprisingly, the old one asked the woman to stop. A quick kiss was shared and the next thing he did after adjusting his silk robe was make the lady sit close to his side. “Is it good news?” “I would like to think so. The Overlord of Skullis recently journeyed to Zenrada.” “What? Is he hoping to ruin the alliance he has with us?” The frown on Lord Haggard’s face was deep. “We can never know. He was poisoned and now he is dead.”

The Overlord. He was still standing back, watching as his men fell. His gaze was locked on me, his body still, like a predator waiting for the right moment to strike. I could have sworn that our eyes met across the battlefield, and I felt a surge of rage so intense it nearly consumed me. I had to get to him. I had to end this. I spurred my horse forward, cutting through the chaos, my focus narrowed to one single goal: the Overlord. I could see him now, his massive form towering over the battlefield like a specter of death.

He didn’t bother to look up. “She doesn’t obey very well, does she?” Hunter said with disapproval, searing her with those icicle eyes. “Depends on who’s doing the ordering,” she replied angrily. No way was she going to be bullied by him, no matter how scary looking he was. Hunter raised a brow, his eyes flickering over her again as though reassessing her. “Well, you’re going to have to learn how to follow my orders, and quickly, sweetheart.” She glanced up at Damien in confusion. Who were these guys?

The Overlord’s plan had always been larger than Ethan realized. “And that’s why you attacked the sanctuary?” Ethan demanded. “Just to test me?” The Overlord smiled faintly. “Partly. But more importantly… I needed to see if the Alpha King had truly awakened. I needed to see if he could surpass his father.” Ethan’s fists clenched. “So all this—” He gestured to the destroyed hangar. “The death, the chaos… it was just a test?” “Yes,” the Overlord said softly, almost regretfully. “A cruel test. But necessary. Because the real threat is coming. One that neither you nor I can face alone.”

His voice mattered. And the Overlord made it matter.

“David, how daring of you! How dare you call the Overlords by their first names. You must be tired of living. Don’t drag me down if you want to die. I never said that an Overlord was supporting me. Using the Overlords’ names is a capital crime. Everyone knows that the five Overlords have not been involved in world affairs for many years. They will only appear when Leila is in crisis or there is serious internal strife. If you want to harm me, you should at least come up with a believable idea!” Ambrose yelled at David.

He looked at Harold in disdain. "Yes, you're right! If I was just at the Semi Overlord State, I would have no confidence in beating you at all! Yet, who told you I was only at the Semi Overlord State?!" Harold sneered as he let out an incredible wave of energy, pushing down on Elder Young. "Overlord State! You're actually already at the Overlord State, how is this possible?!" Elder Young was shocked. From the fluctuations of Harold's energy, he could immediately tell that Harold was already at the initial Overlord State. Many people in Springfield City knew that the two Kings were both at the Semi Overlord State. He quickly guessed that Harold must have just broken through!
