Several seconds passed before he finally spoke coldly. "Fine. I'll tell you the truth." Darrel instantly perked up. Theron's eyes shifted toward Scarlett. Then he said slowly, "Scarlett... is the Commander of Obsidian."

Wrath pulsed hot and wild through me. “Overlord….” His voice was shaky and hearing that title was enough to let me know who it was already, his breathing was hard, almost restrained as he tried to speak. “I— it’s…. Overlord, I was watching over her and I had no idea that….” His voice trailed off, drowning in the pit of his hollowed breath and my fingertips shook as my anger heightened. “Miss Octavia has passed out.” He finally let out. A loud thunder sounded in my head as time stopped and the tablet I was holding fell right out of my hand.
