I shouted. I stepped forward to meet the first armored Husk. It was a massive beast, a former Northern Alpha whose body had been fused into a suit of black iron. It raised a hydraulic fist, the pistons hissing with a freezing mist. I didn't dodge. I swung the new blade in a wide, horizontal arc.

Hévéa stated with a tone of compassion. He sighed, "thank god." "I pity you man, you need to hide your true self." I said while patting his shoulder in compassion. "Shut up." He said in his original accent, British accent. "You shut up." Hévéa snapped back, with a flip of her behind. "I mean, you can help me do that." Thomas said with a smirk, he sent a wink toward her. She choked in disgust, I laughed and slapped both of their heads.

So my fingers desperately clutched the cage before I turned and faced the boy who had noticed me here and he looked surprised, his eyes wide but as he tried to get closer the animal next to me growled deeply. This has to be a wolf. It can't be a dog. "What is this?" I asked him as I looked back at the wolf, and carried on looking into its eyes, finding it difficult to look away for too long. "It's an... overgrown husky," he told me and I raised an eyebrow and looked at him skepticallly. "An overgrown husky?" I asked him, repeating the words slowly so that he could hear himself and he nodded, seeming more confident but I didn't believe him.

Flickers of her childhood came unbidden—dim corridors, locked doors, shadows moving behind two-way mirrors. And the voice. Always the voice. “You’re one of us now.” It was him. Older now, sure. But she could never forget the way he looked at her. Like a scientist examining a broken specimen. She backed up, bumping into the counter. “What do you want?”

I yelled, banging on the glasses. No one responded. Cold silence overtook the place, strengthening my frustration. Relaxing, I closed my eyes, trying to either transform or reach for my wolf. There was nothing. Felt like it...it was gone. There was a static noise as if a radio was being tuned then a voice resounded. I traced my eyes to find where it came from but I couldn't see it. The voice came from everywhere and filled the place. "Alpha Landon Kurt," it called out. It sounded familiar. I just have heard it somewhere before. "I told you I was a Hydra. Cut off one head and two more grow."

Alex's husky voice whispered into Alyssa's ear. “Oh my God! Only you know what this voice does to me whenever I hear him speak like this, jeez; what am I doing? Am supposed to ensure that I never fall out of love with him, but here I am lusting after his voice” Alyssa thought to herself as she slightly hit her head with her hands. “Just shut up and act like I am not on your lap, okay” Alyssa whispered back to Alex as she smiled devilishly.

“Ow!” That was when I thought hyenas could turn into humans too. “Well, what have we got here?” Another goofy cackle exploded into the warm air. I didn’t dare to turn to face them. My mind was working furiously for an escape. “Can you get any louder, you stupid mutt?” The female voice hissed vexedly. “Hey, stop calling me that?” “Shut up, you two,” the first male voice ordered. But obviously, the other two were too busy arguing to hear it.

I hugged her closer to me and closed my eyes to sleep too. “Finally,” came a voice in my head. I froze. That voice... it wasn’t mine. “I’m Vane, your wolf” What the fuck?
