Hunter's Wolf
I felt the mark burn, and I tried my best not to scream.
"Tell him to calm down." The woman said to me, and I looked at her, confused. How the hell was that going to work? He clearly wasn't listening to either of us right now.
"Mine!" he said again, and I tried to think of how best to calm him down. I gathered some bravery and turned in his arms. I hugged him and stroked the fur on his back.
"It is okay, Oscar; I am not leaving. I was just bluffing." I assured him, and the burn on my neck eased. Slowly his rapid heartbeat began to stabilise, and Oscar shifted back to his human form.
