Metal hit concrete with enough force to bounce me off the ground. Silence slammed down in the wake of a fading, electrical roar. The chimera lay crumpled and smoking, legs twisted at unnatural angles, sensors dark. Overhead, the neon storm churned slower. The countdown in the sky froze at **00:03**, then blinked… off. For the first time since we’d entered this world, the looming numbers were gone. No ticking clock. Just roiling sky and the distant echo of a city in shutdown. I rolled onto my back, lungs heaving, staring up at the shattered beacon. Light still guttered in its core, but the furious, lethal blaze had dimmed to a sickly glow.

He curled his lips and said, "If you want to see a meteor, I'll take you to watch it on Tisthon Peaks." "Tisthon Peaks?" Sydney was surprised, "You mean the highest mountain in Port City?" "Uh-huh." Julien nodded, "It's over 3,000 meters above sea level. We'll go up there in a helicopter and set up an astronomical telescope." "Really?" Sydney grabbed his arm with excitement and interest, "Isn't it said that meteors are rare? Will there be one this weekend?" "Yeah. There are meteors every once in a while, but our eyes can't catch them all due to city light pollution and geographical reasons, but if we go to a higher place and use professional equipment, we'll be able to see them."

Hazel, Everything returned to normal again instantly. The trucks started to enter inside the castle one by one, crossing the entrance door. The entrance door had high security which could be opened from inside only. Inside the entrance door, everything was different from the outside. That was the first time I realized why once Xander told me that Silver city is the best place ever for him. I was peeking through a small hole. I saw that the royal city was looking like a highly sophisticated ancient city where different types of beautiful yet strange human-like creatures were wandering in colourful dresses. The crowd and beautiful decoration of the city were reflecting the festive mode of the

Liam shouted Maxine's name from the parking lot, asking her to come soon because it seemed like it was going to rain soon. So, when the first drizzle descended, Maxine rushed to meet her brother's call and drove towards what they had always called home. Heavy rain has continued to batter Hillcester since seven days ago. Hillcester is known as a cool city. Rarely does the heat come too long, or even in accordance with the portion it should. Just like winter. Both seasons were never willing to settle long enough as happened in some other parts of the world.

Robert stayed behind to oversee the shelter, while Milo and the others held the front lines. Everything inside the league remained orderly and stable. Hayley boarded the helicopter with Liam and roughly 20 others, heading straight for Ark One. This was Hayley's first time leaving the Eastern region. Once the helicopter crossed the edge of her territory, the desolation below hit like a weight on the chest. To the north lay a massive coastal megacity that once held over ten million people. As the helicopter passed overhead, there wasn't a single sign of human life. Endless waves of zombies packed the streets, rooftops, and high rises.

The realization made her smile again. Aaron noticed, and for several seconds neither looked away. Elias cleared his throat loudly. Both immediately looked elsewhere. The sky is still dark, the first rays of sunlight yet to crest the horizon and I can’t help but stop for a moment to look up at the fading stars. It’s so rare that I make it out of my rooms, and almost never when it’s still dark. Since the hellsbane plague began spreading from wolf to wolf across the continent, and we took over Moon River City as our capital, very few civilians are allowed outside for more than a few hours at a time.

"The Order knows you are here. My protection ends today. If you want to finish them..." She threw the map on the table. "You need to go to the Origin Point. The place where the first Element meteor fell." Jackson looked at the map. It wasn't Montbert. It wasn't the Arctic. It was a location in the middle of the Pacific Ocean.
