An Act of Vengeance

An Act of Vengeance

Jessica stuttered. Yuri smirked at Jessica’s stunned expression. “Who do you even fucking think Persephone is?” Jessica’s eyes widened at the codename of the informant who had given her the information on the Phantom XIII of Hati. “Persephone is the name of the companion of the Goddess of Witchcraft, Hekate, in Greek mythology.” Yuri smirked at Jessica’s stunned expression. “That’s right. I am Persephone. You really should have done your research properly. I allowed you to get that information on purpose.”

Billionaire's Pampered Wife

Billionaire's Pampered Wife

Hyacinthus was a very beautiful Spartan prince and lover of the god Apollo. It was a pity that Zephyrus wounded Hyacinthus fatally out of jealousy when Hyacinthus was playing a game of Quoits with Apollo, but even the God of Healing could not save the one he loved. In honor of his lover, Apollo made a flower spring up from Hyacinthus' blood and named the flower Hyacinth. "I don't want to be Zephyrus. I want to be Pegasus roaming freely in the sky," she said jokingly. "Okay," Bellamy said in a gentle voice.

Sisyphyra

Sisyphyra

At that moment, the lights came on and the elevator continued downwards as Sule left the control room. * * * Above the wild deep in the forest, somewhere close to Caliba. A group of helicopters flew past dropping soldiers to search for the ancient land of Caliba. A land in which at that moment were being chastised by the Ngwal Apata. The Ngwal ocean had risen in anger, the rock guiding the village spun around in outrage raising a cold breeze in from of think smog from the ocean covering the whole landform sight. The rocks calmly laid back on the tiny stones and covered the people as soon as the soldiers moved away, the smog cleared.

The Charm Of Darkness

The Charm Of Darkness

It was our second anniversary, a time when things were simpler. — From what I read, the legend is about a king of Ancient Greece, Lycaon, who always killed those who stayed in his palace... one night, Zeus disguised himself as an old man, and asked the king for shelter, who somehow discovered that he was Zeus, so as a form of blasphemy and mockery, he served human flesh to the God of Olympus, who cursed him to become a monster, a wolf.

Betrothed To The Alpha King

Betrothed To The Alpha King

I drop to my knees before him and bow my head. “And so it was that Lycaon roasted the flesh of his own child, Nyctimus, and served it unto Zeus, in a test of the God’s omniscience.” The Hierophant turns to an acolyte, who hands him a bowl. The scent of the blood inside makes my mouth water and the moonlight makes my skin feel impossibly tight. The creature inside me, the thing I’m meant to be, grows desperate to escape.

Betrayed to Tartarus by the One I Saved

Betrayed to Tartarus by the One I Saved

"You poisoned Aiden! Then you tried to steal our credit for killing the frenzied Minotaur! Two of our brothers died for that, and you want to claim it? You coward hiding behind a woman!" The soldiers drew their weapons. They glared at us with pure murder in their eyes. "You murdered your husband! You stole our glory!" Brynn shouted. "I'm reporting this to the Elders! All of Olympus will know what you did!" The world spun. My ears were ringing. I stared at the trembling Adonis. I felt sick to my stomach. "I didn't..." I shook my head wildly, tears streaming down my face. "I didn't know about the Hydra venom... I would never tell Adonis to kill him! I loved him!"

Taken By My Brother's Dangerous Best Friend

Taken By My Brother's Dangerous Best Friend

"I know why Jack called me Helen of Troy. Men fought wars over her extraordinary beauty after she was kidnapped. She's a troublemaker. Like me. Why did you call me Persephone instead?" I ventured, my curiosity getting the better of me, as I looked for more reasons to believe I mattered to him. "In Greek mythology, Hades is the God of the underworld. Persephone is —" "His wife," I said, blushing furiously as the obvious dawned on me.

Daughters of the Starfall Betrayal

"Bydona, don't cry. This is our chance at revenge." Then, a few celestial lords approached us with smiles. "Congratulations, Lady Azena, Lady Bydona. Your dreams are about to come through." "Two imperial weddings at the Celestial Skies at once. This has never happened before." Before we could reply, we heard yelling coming from nearby. "I told you to slow down! Why are you running so quickly?!" Guerrian, the God of War, was carrying Seraphine in his arms. Although he was scolding her, the worry in his eyes was impossible to hide.

Violet: The Lycan King

Violet: The Lycan King

She adjusted herself and continued, "this…this mate thing. You say that it's a gift from the– the moon goddess or something?" "Yes Luna." "And the moon goddess is the mother of all werewolves, right?" Mila nodded in agreement. Violet nervously looked around her, the stress of finding a whole new world weighing down on her. "Then– then how am I mated to a werewolf if I'm…human?" Mila started to say something but fell silent. She sniffed the air hurriedly, then shrank back with a panicked face. "Mila, what's wrong?" She worriedly glanced from Violet to the garden gates but remained silent. "Mila tell me, why are you so quiet."

Codename: Blackheart

Codename: Blackheart

“I’ve never even heard of it.” “Of course you have, aconite has many names throughout history, you might know it better as monkshood or wolf’s bane, a flower said in mythology to be the weakness of werewolves, or to have come from the drool of the Cerberus beast in Greek mythology. Though the Greeks also claim Hecate invented it,” she shrugs. “Wait, that’s a real plant?” He says in shock. My mother nods happily, “Much of mythology comes from real life. My favourite name for aconite is queen of poisons,” she smirks. Queen of Poisons should have been her codename. How badass would that be?
