The underworld was the land of the dead, the netherworld, from which no one returned. It was said that the mouth of that land was never satisfied, and the shades of the dead rested on a bed of maggots where the worm did not die. Andrew mumbled, “The feral attack has been suppressed for a while, but their rebellion has begun.”

I gave her a tight smile before the black smoke and fire consumed us. I gripped Balthazar's hand as the night sky swirled around us. Our feet making contact with solid ground once again. When we arrived in the underworld, I was unsure what to expect, but it wasn't anything like this. The underworld wasn't rocks and everlasting flames or filled with the cries and screams of the dead. No, it was a vast city, lights, music and tall buildings reaching up the sky. It was something of a dream, something I had never seen before.

Frowning deeply I clenched my jaw tight, was he making fun of me right now, what was so funny about what I had said? “If not kill me then what!?” I said instantly annoyed with him. Looking up at me he sighed as another soft sheepish smile spread across his face, “You’re virginity is the fascination Laya, I think if I mate with you he’ll back off,” “Mate with me?” nodding he smirked, “Laya do you have any real idea what a hybrid is?” swallowing hard she looked down. Besides being a freak, a virus, something that shouldn’t exist. What else is there?”

A hybrid was recently spotted in a pack in Australia with her kids. Unfortunately, she escaped before the Alpha in that area could apprehend her. Do you realize how significant of this matter is? If a hybrid could procreate and have children, that suggests they were never extinct in the first place. They've been hiding.”
