Something sharp grazed my arm just as Elio started to yell that I had pushed him into danger and I hissed in pain. I glanced down at my arm to see that a zombie had dug its fingers into me, its teeth aiming for my shoulder. I kicked it off at once as I grabbed my nano weapon and clicked the button, swinging at the zombie just as the saber came to life. Elio looked like he just saw something supernatural as I fought around with the saber, stabbing zombies’ flesh and getting covered in their blood. “Congratulations, you have leveled up! 80 points for taking down 80 zombies!”

He yanked the zombie towards himself, and the zombie followed as if it was a doll. Right as the zombie tipped over towards Wilbur, he whispered, "Thunder cleaver." The next second, a lightning strike shot out of Wilbur's fist with a brilliant blue light piercing through the zombie's body. After searching through it with his Iris Veritas, Wilbur realized that the zombie's endless source of spiritual energy actually came from that special Bloody Amulet inside it. The amulet had exploded under the attack of the thunder cleaver, and the zombie stopped moving for good.

With a crack, the rusty kitchen knife sank deep into the gap near the zombie's collarbone and stuck there. The zombie felt no pain. With the knife still lodged in its shoulder, it opened its reeking, bloodstained mouth and lunged for Julian's neck. Julian released the handle in terror, grabbed the zombie by the throat with both hands, and used all his strength to shove it away. At that critical moment, a rush of footsteps came from the stairwell behind him. Another zombie in a janitor's uniform had been drawn over by the noise, and it rushed out of the darkness and bit down on Julian's calf.

The zombie Lord stood imposing, with 2 and the half meter high, the sheer size of it's bulky and rotted body were enough to competed with a 2 adult bear. Unlike the previous normal zombies we encountered, Zombie Lord were much more looked like a threat, Bulging muscle, high reflex actions, heightened sensory response. It's almost look like a Hulk from a super hero movie, except instead of green this zombie lord was blue in color, bruised blue to be more exact. It looks both rotted and imposing, which doesn't really do much to me, but to Elijah, Mina,Bar and Rafaela it's enough to make them contemplate their life choice for a full second. "Identify..".

Suddenly, from the shadows in the middle of the warehouse, the rampaging Zombie BOSS reappeared. It stomped forward, the freezer on its back swaying wildly, its eyes glowing a fiery red. The Zombie BOSS spotted Kevin lunging at Bima. "Mmmph… interloper… negative… content… this is… my… romance!" the Zombie BOSS growled. It seemed to be affected by Bima’s newly activated 'Romance Aura' and viewed Kevin as a 'content rival.' The Zombie BOSS charged at Kevin with the freezer on its back. WHAM!

The zombie's claws ripped through the soldier's throat, causing blood to spray everywhere. Dustin screamed and ran for the third floor. Emilia tried to go after him, but she was blocked by another zombie. As she dodged desperately, her arm was slashed by the zombie. Now. I squeezed the trigger. My bullet went through the zombie's skull with precision. Black blood spurted from it, and the zombie collapsed with a thud. Emilia froze, looking in the direction my bullet came from. I fired again, taking out the threat to her left.

Before long, I felt my hands grow so numb that I could barely move them. I was so cold. I knew I had messed up. I would never dare covet my younger brother Beckett Walker's food again—not even a whiff of it. Suddenly, the piercing wail of a red alert echoed through the entire base. It was a Code Red—the highest-level zombie horde invasion! I could hear panicked screams, frantic footsteps, and the deafening roar of heavy gunfire. I summoned every ounce of strength I had left to shout, my voice trembling and stuttering from the cold. "Dad! Mom! Let me out! The zombies are here!"

It would've been an easy move for an eleven-year-old to make. As Melissa and Adam chatted, Brie checked the cameras over once again. The inside of the store looked thankfully deserted. There was a fire exit that could let them escape once Adam was feeling better, but it was currently swarmed with walkers. The entrance was also busy, which put them in a sticky situation. They had no escape. Unless Brie could find a distraction. She scanned the aisles through the screen, noting that the blind man was now outside. As she watched him through the camera, he swayed and fell occasionally, struggling to pick himself up. The virus had taken him fully.

“Blades and quiet weapons first; rifles only if they break through.” The order moved back through the convoy. People tightened together. Gabriel stepped to Evelyn’s right. Rowan to her left. Tessa drew a short knife that looked too large in her hand and still somehow familiar there. Ahead, the brush shook harder. The first infected pushed through. Then a second. Then three more behind them, gray faces lifting toward the scent of living bodies. Above the trail, somewhere unseen in the branches, a stolen voice whispered Evelyn’s name. This time, she did not look up. “Move,” she said.
