I Am Golden Novels & Stories

My nerves were frayed, and my anxiety was at an all-time high when Diamond took the stage for the last time tonight. There was no way she'd chosen the song that currently played in my honor, but I'd be damned; I wanted to believe each lyric of Staind's "For You" played just for me. I was narcissistic like that. I'd convinced myself that every step she took on that blacked-out stage, she did for me, so it wasn't too farfetched for me to trust the music had been picked to showcase her body as she danced for me...naked. I was a sick son of a bitch, but my mind had claimed her, regardless of whether my body had any real possession.

He answered. "Oh.."I said and sat beside him on the sofa. I continued,"I also don't like to touch silver things. Silver things aren't my cup of tea. Look at this ring on my finger, it is also made up of fake silver". I extended my hand in front of his eyes so he could see. But he just stared at my face. I smiled nervously. "Can you eat garlic?" I asked. "Yes, but I don't like it". He said.

Her thin, pale fingers reached behind her neck and unclasped a silver chain, revealing a polished emerald pendant. It was a rich green, smooth and warm against my skin, carrying a quiet, reassuring glow. With trembling hands, she fastened the chain around my neck. "This pendant was given to me by your grandmother, a blessing for a lifetime of peace. "I'm giving it to you now. I don’t wish for you to be rich or powerful—only to live a safe and peaceful life." There was sorrow in her gaze—the kind only a mother would have in her final moments, knowing she was about to leave her child behind.

“You’re… you’re wearing your chain… How did you?” I looked down at the silver chain around my neck but now Weak to hold back the power surging inside me. I looked back up at Jared, a slow smile spreading across my face. “Surprised, Jared?” I asked. “I’m a Golden Wolf now. That thing you wanted to keep me from becoming… I am it.” I raised my hands again and the golden light intensified. He shook his head, backing further against the wall. “How…” he whispered. “How did…”

"She's my girlfriend." "No, I'm not. We broke up a long time ago." Yael, with a grin, eyed Caleb and could not help but notice the ring he was holding. "An HD ring? I remember at the auction, Mr. Brooks and I were both after the Heart of the Ocean. I knew I couldn't outbid him, but he stopped at three million dollars. Do you prefer this diamond ring?" Yael's words shocked me. Three million dollars for that necklace? Yael sure knew how to waste money.

The recording kept playing while Mom's chest heaved with rage. She really didn't expect this—not from her so called golden child. "Katerina Kovarik, you better explain this right now! That $500,000—was I just being stingy?" "Didn't I give it all to you?! What, did my money just vanish into thin air?!" Her voice shook. "I'm telling you, if you won't take me back to Amiraka, then GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK!" Mom shoved her hand in Katerina's face, yelling.

He looked down at his ring, and he knew that the thick platinum band with the thin stripes of gold was beautiful for more than one reason: it was beautiful for what it hid, not what it showed. Engraved inside, pressed against his warm skin, was the date of a young boy’s death written in Arabic, and a palm holding a flame. ‘Tahir’ meant ‘pure, virtuous’, and in Jim’s mind, that was Tahir. He’d never forget the boy’s attempts to alert Jim to his mother’s plans, he’d never forget that the boy had been blown up in his mother’s suicide bombing of the American Embassy, he’d never forget that Tahir had died because Jim had failed him.

they're both "Silver and Gold," I whisper. My sluggish struggle is futile, "Silver and Gold!" Silver and Gold. Silver and Gold. Silver and- Silver chains. Golden eyes. Golden blades. Golden hair. Kennedy. Eamonn. Luna. A pup. A Wolf. A mother. A Heat. Toothed necklace....Hendrick... hatred. Jayden... traitor.

" I am wiser than before and I know gold when I found it and you are just golden. " "The question remains, do you want to be in a relationship with you because I'm confused? Your behavior confuses me and I'm not saying yes or no either." " Then what are you saying ? " © #KCMmuoe
