I crossed to the traveling mirror I hate and I never look in, and I made myself look. The Lycan King looked back. Tall, scarred, terrible. The thing whole territories kneel to at the rumor of its coming. The thing that has never begged, never bent, never once let the world see it want. And I stood there in a cold tent in the middle of the Wastes and I did not know that thing at all. "What am I doing," I said. To the mirror. To Corin. To the dark. "Corin. Answer me true, and don't flatter me, I'll know if you flatter me. Am I a demon?"

Slowly, I turned back to her, my eyes darkening. She smiled faintly. I lunged towards her. In a blink of an eye, my hand was around her throat, pressing just hard enough to make her gasp. I leaned in, my voice barely above a whisper. “You’re right,” I murmured against her ear. “I did those murders.” Her body tensed, her breath shallow. “And if you keep pressing me, you’ll be next.” Her eyes widened, fear creeping into them for the first time. “Thanks to your daughter's foolish decisions, she ended Arthur,” I continued. “I am not Arthur,” I titled my head to the side. “Well, I am still Arthur but fully synced with the devil Alpha, I will not hesitate to snap your neck anytime.”

I have to be strong and help Oliver. Once I will successfully save him and send him away from this devil, then I will go back to the devil and surrender myself to him. Maybe, I am fated to be a devil, maybe God hasn’t written a prince for my fairytale but a devil. I smiled bitterly, the thought of becoming a devil is heart-chilling but I am willing to do this because I know that, that devil loves me a lot and he would never harm me ever, and it feels like he is really my one and only.

Don’t think of it like that,” he says sweetly, his nefarious smile shifting to sweet and beautiful. “I’m just a fragment of dust of what you may term as the devil. So small and useless until I’m given instructions by my boss. In this case, Mr. Memphis, otherwise known as Devlin, and the water of power he pours to me in form of instructions, stirs my little particles into a pile of mud and I get my power from him. But for now, I’m nothing more than a human just like you and everyone else in your little world.”

Grey yelled at the man, and Blaze's mouth curved into a sly smile.

However, he was not for her and had been playing with her to get what he wanted all along. It had been awful seeing him with someone she thought was her friend. It did not startle Janice when it happened, since she knew he would eventually leave like the others. She had prepared for the day he'd say the same things others had said. Though it hurts, she was glad she didn't give herself to him. Because that would have been the worst. She wouldn't be able to look him in the eyes, neither would she be able to stare at her supposed friend. Yet, the person she had willingly given herself was the devil himself.
