I don’t know! Deciding on the way I am most familiar with, I close the bathroom door and get undressed. I adjust the temperature of the shower and step in. As soon as the water hits my face I hiss out in pain. F*ck that stings. Trying to cheer myself up I tell myself nobody ever got stronger from being a little baby about these things, and so there is a good reason for me to “man up” and get used to the pain. And so I do. The words slipped out sharply. That was the moment his hand flew across my face, the sting of the slap barely registering through the numbness that had taken over my body. They let out a screech, a sound that pierced the air, a sound of pure rage and frustration. “Impossible!” the mastermind snarled, their form flickering and distorting under the impact of my attack. “You should not be able to—” “I’m stronger than you think,” I said, cutting them off. “Stronger than you’ll ever understand.” I pressed the advantage, pushing forward with a relentless assault, each strike more powerful than the last. I could feel the energy coursing through me, a boundless well of power that seemed to grow with every second,

I expected it wouldn’t be long before he started behaving strangely again. He seemed to be in a better mood, yet I couldn’t leave it alone.
