Amber POV. Being a princess is fun, you get to wear dresses, and a tiara, go to parties and dance all you want, that's what I thought growing up being a princess means. But now that years have passed and I was under the pressure of being a princess, the pressure of ruling a whole species, I'm not just any princess, I'm the princess of the dragons, I'm a dragon myself.

She says before the sounds of something falling and Jessica letting out a soft curse follow. “Princess, is everything okay?” I ask, worried about her getting hurt. “Yeah. I found the greenhouse you mentioned earlier today and decided I needed to actually choose things from the store to start gardening in it. That was a bag of dirt falling over and making a mess.” She explains with a sigh, and I chuckle, wanting nothing more than to pull up the app and see what sort of mess was made. “Don’t work too hard, Princess. You can leave the heavy lifting to me.” I state, and I meant every word. My Princess does not need to work so hard with me there for her.

I reached into my pocket for the key I had shoved in there carelessly, fumbled it into the lock, and stumbled into my tiny, temporary Tokyo home. Once I was inside, I shut the door, rested my forehead against the chill of the wood, and exhaled a whooshing, "Finally." The quiet was different. It wasn't calm. It wasn't soothing. I didn’t want her to be sad, so I said, "But I could think of a story to tell you." "Really?" She grinned, and I nodded. Taking a moment before I continued, "Once upon a time, there was a little princess called Ariana." "Hey, that’s my name! As I began weaving the tale, I described how Princess Ariana lived in a sparkling castle surrounded by beautiful gardens and friendly animals. She loved exploring the enchanted forest nearby, where magical creatures roamed and adventures awaited at every turn.
