He lunged toward her fast and lethal. Their claws collided. A sharp pulse of dark magic split the air. Lyla’s breath hitched. The rival’s claws slid toward her chest fast. Lyla’s body twisted beneath the strike. Her claws sank into his side. The rival’s breath sharpened. His amber gaze burned beneath the thin stretch of light. "You’re strong," the rival said softly. Lyla’s silver gaze burned. "You have no idea." The rival’s claws flashed toward her throat. Lyla’s body twisted beneath the strike. Her claws tore through his ribs.

“You are the most perfect Prince this Kingdom has ever known. And everything that happens now is the will of the Moon Goddess and she has your best interests at heart.” With a jerk, I turned towards the voice. There stood Uncle Herod, my hero. I stared at him with relief as he took a seat beside me. “It's Herthia, right? She is your mate,” he stated. “I caught her scent and it matched yours.” It was as if a heavy load had been lifted from my shoulders. Finally, I had someone besides Yin with whom I could share and discuss my concerns. Uncle Herod was my all time best friend, I am assured of his confidentially.

Kraven had betrayed the heir of the Silver fang pack, Ashriels brother, leaving the tile of alpha to fall into Ashriels lap. Filled with rage, Ashriel had planned to kill Kraven and avenge his brother. But Kraven died from a terminal disease before that time could come. His father had apparently died of the terminal disease too, making Therion the next in line. But ashriel was still angry, still is, and he had not gotten his revenge. So, in favor of all who cared. No way! Like the heavens heard my prayers. Zara walked into my office. Zara. My head screamed her name continuously till she was at my desk. She sets down two folders on the desk along with files pinned together. My eyes followed her hands as she arranged them separately. Ask her! She checked every box you need in a date partner! My subconscious mind yelled I shifted on my seat. I can't. She is my rival's daughter, dude. I snapped out of my head bantering. “Sit” I offered, gesturing to the seat closest to her.

“I was just curious.” I knew my brother, he would never sound convinced. “Rowan…” “I’m fine,” I insisted. “Are you getting into trouble?” “Not intentionally.” He sighed quietly. “Try not to create unnecessary rivalries.” I looked out across the grounds, thinking of Theo’s eyes on me. “Rivalry found me,” I said calmly. “Without my intention.” Henry went silent for a second. “Then be careful,” he finally said. “Not everyone sees competition as harmless.”

By morning, I looked like hell. “Rough night?” Eli asked as I took the seat he had reserved for me at breakfast. “Yeah. You can say that,” I said, moving my food about on my plate. “Too much birthday champagne?” “Something like that.” I wasn’t about to tell him the truth—that my sworn rival, Lucas Rayne ne, was my fated mate. The idea was ridiculous, even to me. My parents would lose their minds. The pack would see me as weak, maybe even unfit to lead. And Lucas? He’d probably rather rip his own throat out than claim me.

Just a quick peek, then I’d leave without getting noticed, I told myself. I quietly pushed the stall door open a little. And froze. It was our new classmate. Maverick. His clothes were tossed aside, and he was sitting with his legs apart, his hand working on himself. I blinked several times, hoping I was imagining it. I wasn’t. Maverick’s gaze snapped to mine, his expression cold for a split second before turning intoanger. “You’re peeping?” His voice boomed like thunder, and I swear my heart nearly jumped out of my chest.

More importantly, how is your robotic Boss who looks exactly like the mystery god who took your V-card and just banged you last night? A faint smile touched my lips despite the stress, as I typed back. Me: Same as usual. The dictator is currently in a meeting. Honestly, I'm actually comfortable working beside him now because I have 100% proof that he doesn't know me. The confusion is gone. The three dots popped up immediately. Skylar: Yeah, yeah... I get that. But girl, don't you think that's incredibly weird? If they share the exact same face, what if they are related? Are you sure you aren't working for a secret twin?

Soon, it as time to ban heroes and her team banned Natalia, Hanzo and Angela which made her pissed. "How is my baby a threat?" she yelled and the enemies had also banned theirs already: Estes, Johnson and Baxia. She looked at the camera and smiled a creepy smile. It came time to pick heroes and her allies choose Odette for Mage, Ling for assassin, Akai for tank, Chou for fighter and all were waiting for her to choose. She chose Atlas instead saying:"I want to use Atlas, matches 2, winrate 100%' causing her allies to start cussing.

It stung, but I couldn’t stop the small grin that pulled on my lips. “Is that all you got?” I muttered. Jason tried to push past Ryu again, yelling something I didn’t catch. A few of the others had started to look over, but I waved it off, straightening up. “Leave it,” I said, voice steady. “He’s just mad his Falcon wings broke mid air. You guys better find a good name for your team, than getting your Falcon's wing break down every time.” That only made Jason angrier. He struggled out of Ryu’s grip and pointed at me. “Next race, I’ll make sure you eat the dust I leave behind.”
