I complain. “I hadn’t thought of them like that. As something that obscures your regular vision. That would be pretty frustrating.” I shrug. “I guess so, but it’s always been this way for me. I don’t know what it’s like to NOT see them all the time. I guess if I went out into the middle of nowhere I might get a break, but I've never bothered. Most of the time it’s okay. It just wears me out sometimes, having to be careful and also not react to some of the things I see. But whatever.” I finish awkwardly.

She looks tired. Then I see it. My vision goes red and then…nothing.

With Izzy not here to act as a buffer, I excuse myself and go for a wander. Izzy ran inside excited about something, and I’m curious what that something might be. If you don’t count my room.” I sighed. “Why?” I could hear the frown. I lifted my head to look at him. “I can’t go outside during day.” I reminded him. “Yeah but that doesn’t mean you can’t see during night.” He said looking down at me.
