Gone. I froze. No. No, no, no. I had left it there. I knew I had. My breath came in sharp, ragged bursts. Someone took it. And there was only one person who could’ve— “Elijah,” I whispered. That bastard. He had warned me not to read it. He knew something. And now? Now he had the damn book. The world still didn’t feel real. Didn’t feel right. I was walking, yeah, but it felt like I wasn’t even inside my own damn body. Like I was watching myself from the outside.

It's a good thing that I have a retentive memory. I, in no time, found my way back to where I was and started my search for Stark. I found him sitting in the library and reading a book that I think was made for kids. "Hi." I said to him. "Oh, hi." He replied. There was some minutes of silence between the both of us as he continued to read his book and I stood there watching him. "Why are you reading kid's books?" I asked, breaking the silence. "Nothing. I just feel like reading it." Stark said.
