I Know It Ain't The Stallion Novels & Stories

I'm begging you, don't go disappearing on me. [Did you return to the Red Moon Pack? Just talk to me, okay? I'm worried.] [Come home soon, okay? It's going to be the Blood Moon Festival soon, and we're supposed to get marked on that occasion.] I stared at the texts, remembering the night before Orion left three years ago. He just won gold at the hunters' category, but while everyone was howling excitedly around him, he got away to reach me, kissing me passionately as he rasped, "Wait for me, Elara. We will mark each other here—and you will be my wife.]

The moment the car lost control, a chill ran through me and I quickly buckled my seatbelt. My heart was racing, and my mind went blank. With a loud crash, my head slammed into the car window from the violent impact. Time seemed to slow down at this moment. I couldn't help but recall past moments of my life, but all I could think of were memories tied to Yohan. When I was 10, my parents took out a loan to purchase a villa in the most exclusive neighborhood in Jyndale—and that was when I met Yohan. My parents told me that he was the heir to the Palmers in Jyndale. They warned me to be extra careful and make sure to get on his good side.

Lila answered hesitantly, her voice trembling slightly. On the other side of the phone, Sebastian’s voice sounded heavy and breathless. “Lila… I…” her voice was choked up, almost like she was struggling to stay steady. “I don’t know where to go. Everything is… everything is falling apart.” Lila could hear background noise. “Sebastian, where are you? Are you okay?” she asked worriedly. “I… I’m at a bar near my house. It feels like the world is falling apart,” Sebastian said in a tone of deep sadness, between heavy breaths. “I just got out of court… Sara won, Lila. Dinda… she chose Sara.”

"And Ethan agreed. Did someone drug him?" I looked at my own finished rendering of Starwater Bay on my screen. My mouth lifted, cold. "A pink bow. Cute. Matches his brain." I hit send and submitted my bid to Adrian. Two weeks later, the competition opened. Anyone with a name in New York was in that auditorium. I wasn't there. I watched the livestream from Adrian's office. Ethan walked onto the stage in a custom-tailored suit, radiating confidence. He unveiled his plan, the one with the colossal pink ribbon crowning the spire.

The pair of rearing horses are still featured on it and when she stands, she looks every bit the queen I always knew she was. “My people, your Queen, Rayne Stallion!” I make my claim and the room erupts in cheers as I pull her to me and take her lips with my own. Finally, she is my wife but not just that she is also my Queen. We are complete.

"I'm not going, then. Take these gentlemen to look around with Stella and come back for dinner later." When they arrived, the stable worker was grooming the horses. Cordelia's horse farm was well-made, and the horses were well-bred and of strong physique. As someone approached, all the horses in the stable eagerly poked their heads out of their stalls, except for one. That horse was a sleek black beauty with shiny hair and well-defined muscles. But, it did not stir. In fact, it turned its back on the approaching figure, Stella. Its name was Juno.

The scent of fresh hay and leather greets us as we step inside, mingling with the earthy aroma of the horses. Each stall is lined with clean straw, and the horses are groomed to perfection. The sound of hooves on the ground and the gentle whinnies of the horses reminds me of many things. Yet, one, I cannot place a finger on. Sunlight streams through the high windows and I see a magnificent black stallion there. “Whose horse is that?” I ask and Camille looks at it. She clears her throat and looks around as if she doesn’t want to answer my question.

I say and she nods her head in understanding. I hear the sound I haven’t heard in so long, the neigh of a horse. I smile and look around, seeing the stables to the side and the riding paddock and grazing pasture a few metres away. “Oh, that boy, he knows you’re here. He has been a pain in the culo (ass). He won’t let anyone ride him. We have tried, and he is stubborn.” I chuckle, knowing my boy wouldn’t want anyone else to ride him. He was a colt when I got him and is as stubborn as they come.

I asked Adrian. My fingers touched the nose of the stallion. His soft hairs tickled my fingers and his warm breath made goose bumps rise on my skin. I smiled at the beauty. "He's got no name. So you better think of one." Adrian answered. "Me? You want me to think of a name for your horse? That's not very creative of you." I said to him. The horse knickered loudly. I grinned. "It's not my horse." He stated. I snapped my head at Adrian. He stepped towards me. "You think you can handle a stallion?" He whispered to me. His voice made my spine shiver.

At my pre-wedding blowout, my sister Julia Gallo suddenly challenged my fiancé Lorenzo, heir to the next Don of the Bianchi family, to a "big bet." "Let me guess how many candies you've got in your hand." "Guess right, and whatever my forfeit is, you do it." "Guess wrong, and you're covering all the leftover booze." "I'm guessing... five." She said. Lorenzo opened his right hand. Three. Julia tipped her head back to down the rest of the wine. But then— "You win." Lorenzo pulled his left hand from his pocket. "There are two more. Right here." Julia smiled at him. But tears shimmered in her eyes. She unfolded the note she'd written in advance. "Then I'm sorry. I didn't think I'd actually guess
