They will find Falcons and debts where none exist. If Alpha Douglas returns, he will not come with civility. He will come with fire and with wolves who think killing is a proper answer. We are not warriors. We are mere servants." Her voice thinned out, and for a breath the valley held its breath with us. "We will make you warriors of the truth," he answered, not unkindly. "The West will stand as one. I will not hand you over. I will not barter you like spoil. Get up Amanda."

What if she couldn’t make it home? “No!” Jade told herself. “You’ll make it home. You’ll get out of here. The students' faces were a mask of shock, agape with horror at hearing those foul words from her. "Minahil," a girl wearing spectacles exhaled out tiredly. "I'm sorry, you are not motherfuckers," she apologized but in a tone that didn't quite match her statement. "You are more than that which is indescribable."

“We are on your side, dear. Don’t be silly. We’re just teasing you! The deeds speak for themselves. Besides, your dad’s right. All the girls you’ve had before practically threw themselves at you. Maybe the Moon Goddess is giving you a challenge.” My mom was trying to explain in the gentlest way possible. A challenge. Hmm... I hadn’t thought about it that way. And knowing myself, I loved a challenge. I liked to win. That is how I ended up as a top warrior in our pack. "Mom's right! So, how are you going to swoon her?" Dad raised an eyebrow, clearly amused. "I managed to get her to agree to lunch with me."

I am livid. How dare he try to command me. I am his mate, not his toy. He will realize you don’t play around with me and leave unscathed.
