He yanked his shirt up and a huge black skull tattoo on the side of his ribcage was revealed. The others showed theirs too.

**CHAPTER 2** It was never wrong when they said there's no place like home. Natasha finally returned home,and arising from her bed feeling so jiggy in the wee hours of the morning. Her bedroom was quite an extravagant space designed to reflect her luxurious lifestyle and personal tastes. The color scheme leans towards girly and elegant tones. The walls is adorned with textured wallpaper, featuring delicate patterns and floral motifs, adding a touch of sophistication.

My business is to make sure that before all of this is said and done, the three of them are six feet under. It’s almost fully dark out by now, and I stare out the window with my arms crossed under my breasts. A twin pair of headlights passes by in the parking lot outside, illuminating the room. As the two beams drift across me, they light up the ceiling and the wall. Except for a splotch of darkness in the corner that the light can’t seem to penetrate at all. A shadow. And not a natural one. I barely manage to scream out, “Frost!” before the living shadow lunges right for me.

Angel replied “Remember, long story. I tell you what, you come for dinner tonight and I’ll tell you everything.” Jay seemed to debate as if mentally checking his schedule before he said, “Okay sure, give me the address and I’ll be there.” Angel asked curiously “You got a car, or you are taking a cab?” Jay laughed and said, “I’ve got a ride, what do you live in the boondocks, Houston isn’t that big.” Angel replied honestly “I don’t live in Houston; I live in a gated estate outside Houston.”

He opened his palm and a baseball bat appeared in it. He grabbed the bat and with one swing, cleaved the entire creature in half. “Word of the Dark gods: Gravity”

Once, the darkness teased him while they were strolling in Taguig, told him that he had a ‘type’, making it seem like all the men he chose – and even the women he looked at – looks exactly like ‘him’. The same fluffy blackish-brown hair, the same soft pleading eyes, and the same rounded cheeks. That was awfully unfair. That wasn’t the darkness’ fault. The darkness only looked the way it did because he had given it that shape. He chose what he wanted to see, and he wanted to always see a shape of ‘him’. ‘Do you remember,’ he asked, ‘when only you were just darkness and shadows?’ ‘Jett,’ he chuckled as he replied in a deep voice, ‘I am the night. I am batman.’

His face was mostly covered by his hood, his eyes dark and unreadable maybe he just came back from a fight or something. “Uh… hi?” I said like a dumbass that I am. He didn’t look up. “You’re the kid who beat Natalya.” “…Wow. News travels fast.” now everybody calls me kid great. He looked up finally, those eyes pinning me like I was some new toy. “They call me Shadow,” he said, voice low. “You snore, I break your nose. You touch my blade, I slice your fingers. You eat my food…” “I get it. I die,” I muttered. “Chill, bro. I just got here.”

Shadow POV: I menacingly walk into the dimly lit room. The only sounds that can be heard are my footsteps and the muffled screams from a local schoolboy "Welcome to my home Matt" my voice comes out deep and menacing "Where the hell am I...do you know who I am" he yells pulling at his restraints
