She stepped out, hesitant, and stopped at Naomi’s door. Her hand trembled as she reached for the handle… then slowly turned it. The room lit up. It was neatly arranged. On the table lay a book Naomi had been reading. She approached and picked it up. The title read: “Your Eyes Found Me – A Novel” She turned off the light and left.

I come right out not too long after and slip on the nightdress I had earlier pulled out. My eyes catch the my bag in the corner and a thought creeps into my mind. I quickly move to the door, quickly locking it. I'd really hate to be caught right now. I take up the bag and empty its contents on my bed. My eyes widen in shock as I recognize it. The Novel. The one I had wished to be sent to. How did it get here? I have to hide it. I don't even know why, but I get a very strong gut feeling to do so.

I love you all and I can’t appreciate you guys any less. ~Here is a little recap of what went down in the first book~ After Missy got married with the city’s most hated man who was termed a beast for his rumored cruelty towards his past wives. She realized there is more to the rumor and more to her marriage as she found out she’s a living image of his first love and the only difference was her age and some little details that only the most observant would notice.

It felt like a joke. If kindness got crushed and hard work only earned suspicion— Then someone else could deal with this thankless mess from now on. *** My closure notice blew up both group chats. The pickup station chat went completely insane. [What happened? Why'd it close?] [@Annie, what's going on? Why shut it down all of a sudden?] [My package is still in there! Do I seriously have to grab it tonight?] [So where are deliveries supposed to go now? This is ridiculous.]

"Can I help you with anything?" The tinkle of the wind chimes signaled his arrival, but the silence that followed was deafening. I looked up and locked eyes with Emmett, his gaze tinged with sorrow. I fought to keep my composure, my face betraying nothing. "Looking for something in particular?" "Josephine, I've missed you so much..." "If you're just browsing, take your time. We're swamped today, but check out our latest designs over there." I gestured to the side and bent back to my work, snipping at the loose threads and reminding myself to keep pushing forward.
