A lot wiser at least I think in how I operated. With my book coming out soon the need to write had also been affected by the fact my dream was close to becoming a reality. Grabbing a pen I shifted up the bed flipping to a blank page to stir up that need in me once again. And without trying to think too much I placed the tip of the pen against the page and let my hand guide me with whatever t's and i's my hand happened to cross and dot. Dear Readers, As I sit down to write these words, my heart is overflowing with gratitude. This book — my very first — is more than just a story. It is a piece of my soul, carved out over years of unexpected challenges, personal storms, and quiet triumphs. There were moments when life felt too heavy, when writing seemed impossible, and yet, somehow, I kept returning to these pages.

I’m gonna use this weekend to write down a few chapters of the second book so it can go into print and get approved right away. That said, See ya tomorrow!

I know he's angry at me for my decision, but its final and no one is going to change my mind. I place the book in my drawer and take out my laptop. I flip it open and go through my latest drafts. Writing needs peace and calm, and none of those are on my mental list right now.

But I don't really care. I continue typing my monologue for my new book. My new work is going to be a romance but with a sick, gothic twist. It's exciting to write something new apart from my usual books. I hope that my editor likes my pitch. Otherwise, I'm going to start from scratch. And I have a deadline. The hum of my laptop echoes through the living room. I sit on the nice periwinkle couch. It's not mine, but it feels so good. I have been visiting Stan with every opportunity I have. I'm going to his house so often that I have a spare key. Stan didn't need to give it to me. But he insists that I come and make myself feel at home. Is that a red flag?

So, hello. Sincere apologies for not updating. Life has been crazy and I honestly haven't had the drive to write for months. I have wanted to, but every time I went to write I found that nothing was coming to me, no words were making their way onto paper, and I wasn't enjoying it. However, no matter how long it takes, I will always continue to update this book as I enjoy the story and want to reach the ending. I like to write this book, so I will always update it, no matter how long it has been.

I am usually quick at writing my narrative once I have all my research in place, but somehow I feel that the materials that I’ve collected to write Toby’s story aren’t enough. It has been two years since my last published book. I know everyone is worried. They can’t wait to sell another book. But for them it’s only about the money, for me it’s about the story. I am a perfectionist. There is no way I would let a book be published unless I feel that it’s truly finished and that I don’t need to add anything further.
