I've Waited 100 Years Novels & Stories

I waited and watched the door nervously wondering who would walk through it and finally reveal themselves after twelve years of silence. Who is this anonymous person and what do they want from me now after all this time?

Hawthorne looked at them, he was now serious. "I did get to wait a few hundred years, didn't I? Do you think I can't do that now?" He laughed nonchalantly. "I will wait for years until she accepts me. I will wait for another year until she falls for me and I still wait for more years until she remembers everything."

"I want to go soon." Outside, the northern mountains held their position on the horizon, permanent and patient, the way they always were. And somewhere beyond them, in a territory that barely appeared on modern maps, my grandmother was waiting. She had waited twenty-five years. She could wait one more week. But not much longer than that.

“They all are.” He then walks out. Cael watches the empty doorway for a moment. “Four centuries,” he says quietly. “I waited four centuries for another one like Soren.” He looks at his hands. “Worth it.“

Probably watching over her, protecting her, drowning in his own obsession. “Seven hundred and thirty-two years…” I murmured to the glass. “Seven hundred and thirty-two years waiting for this.” Revenge was a dish best served cold. And I was about to prepare a feast.

"She hates me." "Sweetheart, I've been alive for almost two hundred years. It was a lonely existence, but I had no intention of ever making anyone else my mate. I was waiting for you. The moment I saw you…I knew you're worth every second of the wait. My fiery Sunshine, I'll wait another thousand years for you if I had to," he says, looking earnestly into my eyes. His hand tugging a lock of my hair around his fingers. He always seems to have a thing for my hair.

"Mark, ten years. Every damn second of those ten years—when didn't she love you? Tell me that. How do you even deserve—how do you deserve someone like Jenna loving you that long?" She didn't wait for an answer. Just shoved him out of the bar. Outside, the neon lights hit like prison bars—sharp, cold, and closing in. He couldn't even see his love anymore. That's when it hit him. Ten years married, and not once had he really talked to Jenna. Not once. Every moment was her trying not to upset him. Her breaking down behind a locked door so he wouldn't hear her cry. Mandy's voice wouldn't stop ringing in his head.

“Yes. It’s been a year. Well, it’s been nearly 20 years. I was just wondering, how long you were willing to wait for her.” I look out over the gardens, jealousy of what my father has trying to take root before I pull it back. I have to remember he lost one mate and lived his life alone for hundreds of years. I’ve only been waiting for my mate for nineteen years. “I don’t know, Lady Lorelai. I truly don’t know.”

“I will. I promise.” It’s been ten years since Carlo left. He promised me that he will come back after ten years, but until now, he never did. Carlo was my first love. He’s the only man that I fell in love with and I just can’t let go of that love. Because until now, I’m still waiting.

Adrienne asked, hoping for something even though she knew she shouldn't. "I don't know either, Adrienne. I'm confused too. But we both wanted it, right? Let me have some time to think about this. I'm confused, but you'll wait for me, won't you?" "Yes, Pedro, I've been waiting for ten years, for this chance." The next day, Adrienne had work. It was obvious that she was blooming, and everyone who greeted her noticed and commented on her appearance. Of course, she had been well-watered.
