Ice demanded, her emotions boiling over. "I want…"

She smiled at me. “There's a lot you don't know about me.” I sighed and unlocked the doors. “How about you open up to me, so I can get to know you better?” She asked. I stared at her in surprise. “Since when did you develop interest in getting to know me?” I asked. “Calm down, dude, I'm not interested in you. I just want to know about you. Sometimes I feel like I'm living with a total stranger. We don't know anything about each other.”

It’s only a matter of time. As for me, I’ll focus more on getting to know her better. I want to know the Laura Walsh that nobody else knows. I want to know who she is at her core. I see remnants of it every time she reveals something about herself, but it isn’t enough. I want more. I want all of it. I want all of her.

That’s why I asked her that question back in the room. “Can I love you?” I know it sounds cringe, but I don’t care. I decided to take her on a date so I can get to know her because, when I look at it, I realize I don't know her at all. I only know what she shows me, ‘The Perfect Novel,’ as she once said.
