After an hour or two, she starts heading home but changes her route to the Forbidden Ruins. 'Where do you think you're going?' I hiss at her. She rolls her eyes at me before continuing to walk. Arles might be there and I don't want to see him. Not yet. I know that he'll be hunting me down soon for me to complete the third task. I don't want to go knocking on trouble's door even though that's what I do. Sometimes I could use some exceptions, right? But my wolf is hell-bent on going there. It's like an invisible force is drawing her towards the place. She continues to walk towards the ruins and soon, we're walking past Arles' statue.

"I thought we were going to talk. Are you leaving?" She nodded. "I am, and we are." Her eyes pleaded with me not to argue. "Come back to my place with me. Let me show you my world and explain." Nodding, I stood and followed her out in silence toward our cars. Once beside hers, just two down from mine, she turned and looked me in the eye. "Follow me." And I did. No matter how much the unknown frightened me or how much common sense yelled at me to stop, I didn't. My gut told me to go. To press down on the gas pedal and follow her across town and into an upscale building right on Brickell Ave.

She doesn't let me speak. "I don't know why I said this. I'm really out of my mind." She appears talking to herself. "I'm getting out of here." She sprints towards the entrance of the hall, cross passes people. I follow her while continuously calling her name, "Fay, listen to me. I'll tell you." She doesn't stop, doesn't look behind. She keeps going in a straight direction. I follow her footsteps. Then we both are out of the hall and reach the parking lot.

But there she found no one at the scene, not even a soul round the lonely cabin of Master Ethan containing only her. And if no one was here then where did the sound come from? Sylendra's heart started racing million times faster at that moment from even the thought of someone barging inside while she was changing her garments and seeing her in that state. It was making her embarrassed and very disappointed about her own self. She still looked around in caution but yet found none at the sight again, it increased her panic more. There was definitely someone. The invader might be in the same space as her and hiding somewhere away from her eyes. Sylendra gulped in horror before roaming her eyes

Probably am. "What are you doing here?" Suspicion drips from every word. "Did Adrian send you?" "Yes. But also no. I was already looking for you. Have been since you left his place." I gesture down the street. "Can we go somewhere and talk? Somewhere that is not a dark alley?" "I do not want to talk. I do not want anything from you or Adrian or anyone." She starts walking. I follow. Of course I follow. That is what I do. Follow her. Protect her. Even when she does not want it.

Where the hell is she going at this late hour of the night? My pulse spikes. I don’t think anymore. I just move, sprinting after her.

he mumbled, reading my thoughts. The girl beside us moved like she had lead in her boots, but she didn't stop. Soot streaked her face, sweat dripped from her hair, but those eyes of hers glowed faint, but there. Like she'd stolen some of that fire for herself. "Where exactly are we going?" I asked her. "Deeper." She didn't even turn around. "Away from it." The way she said it made my skin crawl. "Stay with me," I whispered to Kieran when he stumbled.

I want her. It’s as basic as it gets. I’ve seen what I want, and I will hunt it down. All the questions, doubts, and worries can wait for now. She hits the pebbled shore and breaks into a silent sprint. No silly whooping cheers or mocking. She’s as serious as I am. So I started running, following her into the treeline. Her coconut scent is easy enough to trace until I realize the little spitfire has quickly done a few circles to confuse me.

"Is anyone there? I know you're following me. Don't be a creep, come out, I promise not to harm you. We can even drink hot chocolate and talk like two civilized people we're not." She waits for a reply, but none comes. "It's not cool to keep me waiting for a reply!" She comes closer, almost near where I'm hiding. "Karl... It's that you?" I freeze, my breath hitching. Does she know I've been following her all this while? "That's strange, I definitely felt Karl's presence right now." She keeps coming towards me, as though there's a pull that's leading her to me. I close my eyes, ready to get caught following her like a creep.
