"She was declared dead by the hospital four days ago. And you're only finding out now?" The room fell deathly silent. Everyone stood frozen as if struck by lightning. David's eyes widened, staring at the photo on the screen. "You must be mistaken. How could she be declared dead so suddenly?" He grabbed the officer's arm as his voice trembled. The officer impatiently shook him off. "The systems are connected. There's no mistake. She passed away in a hospital just a few kilometers from your house. Four days ago. Aren't you her husband? Why are you only looking for her now?"

Make him die. But guess what?

The proximity was making my own shadow twitch, the Scythe mark on my wrist burning with a violet fire. ​"This is exactly who I am," he countered, leaning in until his nose brushed mine. I am a god myself!” he said and I smiled again. “The god of what exactly?” I asked him. “Well, I am Death, I can take lives as I want,” he said to me dramatically. “Wrong again, the mistake you made was to think I’m exactly like Kiran and Kai, but I’m not. You’re not a god, you’re Hel’s underling, you follow her orders, so I guess that makes you her little bitch,” I said to him.

Oliver ordered him, but it didn't break him. "I...I can't..." He replied hesitantly. He loved his business more than his life and didn't want all those dark secrets to come out, for they could destroy everything. "I'm asking one last time... WHO IS IT!!?" Oliver lost his temper. The man on the gunpoint stayed quiet and didn't even move a little. He lowered his head and just waited for his death. "Sorry then..." Oliver said one last time before he pulled the trigger. The bullet went into his head, causing immediate death. Oliver didn't even flinch or have a disturbed expression on his face after killing that guy.

I fall back into the silence that I was usually so fond of. He throws down his keys, they clatter on the desk and he makes his way over to me. Pity, that was what I could see in his grey eyes. But not the kind of pity that would make him sorry for me. The kind where he regretted getting involved because there was nothing he could do. “Death.” I mutter. “Death and killing are the only things that I know. Thank you for trying to save me, Aiden, but I was meant to die. That is my fate.”
