Chapter 3 – Ravina POV AThe pervert The warm water eased my sore muscles as I leaned back in the bathtub, releasing a slow breath. The tension in my body would not leave completely, but this was as relaxed as I'd been since arriving in this pack. I closed my eyes, reaching out through the mind-link. Anna, can you hear me? A minute later, my head was filled with her voice. I'm here. How are you? "Exhausted. Irritated. Something about this place feels. wrong," I admitted. "Are they treating you nicely?"

Hollows farmers Market—smells like cinnamon candles, fried chicken, and desperation. It’s half past six and the place is humming with soft fluorescents and nosy small-town chatter. The aisles are narrow. Shelves stuffed. Someone’s kid is screaming three rows down about cereal, but I don’t give a damn. Aria’s tucked under my arm like she belongs there—like she’s always been mine. Her hair’s still damp from the shower, curls clinging to her neck, and she’s wearing my old navy flannel like it’s a dress. Her legs bare.

"They are not just regular beastmen, Aquil," Dylan replied, then extended his hand to me and pulled me near. "Let me introduce myself," I whispered while pulling his arm. He smiled and nodded. "I am Ari, goddess of the sun. Heed my words! Lower your weapons!" I ordered as I transformed into my passive-aggressive form.

She had golden brown hair and almost amber colored eyes. “I’m Tiffany,” the next girl said. She was young, probably sixteen and she was fierce looking. I could see in her eyes that she had seen a lot in her few years on earth and it made her sort of admirable. She didn’t look like she feared anything. She had dark blonde hair and brown eyes so dark they almost looked black. “I’m Kiara and at your disposal,” she said and bowed her head at me. I saw tattoos on her neck when she bowed her head. She had midnight black hair with grayish eyes and her features almost seemed exotic and she could have passed for a model.

"We aren't staying in this ravine pass for long." Aria pulled a portable interface wire from her belt, tapping the connection directly into the stolen drive casing. The pale blue light of her portable monitor flickered to life, throwing a sharp, cold brilliance across her wind-bitten cheeks as she initiated a real-time data read on-site. Her silver eyes darted across the scrolling strings of encrypted code, her expression freezing into a mask of fierce, calculating clarity.

And the color of my skin never hides when I blush so it's always hard. "What's your name?" Now he stood right beside me leaning on the basin and looking down at me. Okay, how the hell was he this tall? I looked like a minor in front of him. This was so unfair. And not to forget his deep baritone voice. It was so smooth just like butter. Ew Arabella really? "Arabella" I replied. He hummed before folding his hands and damn I almost swooned. I accidentally glanced at the tattoo on the back of his left shoulder. It had wings and it between were two initials.

Grade: A* Well, I guess I know why that woman was asking so many questions. Everyone seems shocked apart from the dangerous clique. They just seem impressed. After a while, Everyone goes back to whatever they were doing and the girl Rhea walks up to me wearing black workout clothes.

Rachel What's the best way to forgo everyone and everything that hurts you, for me, it is to get drunk. I don’t normally like to drink alcohol because it makes me lose my mind, and I don’t like the fact that something has this kinda effect. If anything I like the most is being sober.
