Vincent pov I laugh so hard my eyes water. I haven't heard anything so ridiculous and stupid in a long time. The last time someone made me laugh like that was in high school. But the look on my Beta's face can only mean how serious his question was. I wipe away my tears and straighten my posture. Like a kid trying to look serious, I clear my throat a few times before speaking up. "That was a great joke, my friend, but warn me next time before you try to say something so absurd. Karter jokes around the whole dinner, only pissing Lynn off a little but every time she looks at me, I give her a smile and her eyes soften. I on the other hand, love Karter’s humor. He just makes weird dad jokes sometimes and Lynn finds those the most annoying. Jayce feeds the fire though, he encourages the jokes and sometimes he catches Ryker off guard, making him laugh along. Maybe this is what Ryker meant by fun immaturity. Once we’re all done, we pile back into our cars and resume the road trip. Lunch was nice, I need to get more cinnamon roll pancakes in the future. Everyone's eyes widened, as if they couldn't believe what they'd just heard. After a brief silence, Vanessa suddenly burst into loud, shrill laughter. "CeCe? Oh my goodness, that's hilarious!" She pointed at me, her face full of disdain and contempt. "I knew it! How could a fresh graduate like you possibly land a client as tough as Gilla Group on your own? Turns out all you did was just climb into Mr. Kapowsky's bed!"

"I have a sense of humor, thank you very much. I just don't find your fart jokes funny." Felecia snickered. "Everyone likes a fart joke, Moana." Harper waved his fork at Kelsey. "I don't care who you are. Fart jokes are classic." "Stop calling me Moana." Kelsey rolled her eyes. "They're disgusting." "You're disgusting." "Your mom's disgusting." Jamie's brows shot up and he covered his mouth with a fist. "Oh." "Now who is being immature?" Harper's grin only widened. "Your mom jokes are classic. Everyone knows that." Kelsey waved her hand.

As the designer, I had to stay beside them to explain my idea. The exhibition ended an hour later. Just as I was leaving, Sophia spoke. "Andy, could I please have some coffee with your employee?" Andy cast me a meaningful look. "Of course." In the cafe right across from my workplace, Sophia went straight to the point. Her tone dripped with sarcasm. "I heard you stepped on silver powder yesterday. How foolish. You'll only bring Ethan trouble." I subconsciously held onto a corner of my shirt. "Thanks for the concern. I'm fine now."

He encouraged me with a threat. I coughed, holding my chest like I'm having an attack. His mouth fell open, as he had a terrified expression. "Carla! What have you done?!" Joyce yelled at Jayden. He held me, "I'm sorry, it's a joke. I would never get back with Davina no matter what happens." I sighed in relief, then let out a loud laughter. Jayden and Joyce gave me murderous looks causing me to shut up. "I would have killed you if you were not sick! What a joker!" Joyce snapped.

" Lillian asked Jay,he wasn't behaving cheerful like before,he looked afraid and nervous. "Am I not supposed to?" It still rained and it was past nine pm. " It was a joke" Joy said it was a joke smiling, she noticed everyone in the room was looking serious and Jay's hand trembled. " You said truth,but you were playing, it was a joke? That was one expensive joke." Mark placed his fingers on Lillian's shoulder, he told her to calm down,he was also calming himself down. "Am I not allowed to tell jokes? You all are just like him,pretending to be nice when you're not !"

Macy quirked a perfectly arched eyebrow at me. A sheepishly shameful smile spread across my face and with that popcorn was flung at me for my ignorance. "You know I'm proud of you for finally dumping Brian fucking Larson on his non existent behind. How's a guy going to walk around all pride and prejudice with no damn ass. It's not even flat! The damn thing caves inwards. I didn't even think that was possible!" Leave it to Macy to turn this into a joke. She wasn't wrong though. Even us girls love a man with ass. Not too much ass but ass nonetheless.
