She rushed to the entrance of the tent, her heart pounding against her ribs as she looked out into the camp. The solar braziers at the northern perimeter were flickering, their divine light being actively sucked away into the darkness. Emerging from the shadows of the glacial ice were horrors unlike anything the northern continent had ever seen. They were not shifters, nor were they living beasts. They were massive, gaunt creatures that vaguely resembled dire-wolves and bears, but their bodies were constructed entirely of jagged, translucent grey ice and swirling, ash-like mist. They had no eyes, only hollow, gaping sockets that radiated a freezing, absolute zero aura.

I huffed as I snapped their necks before they could finish raising the dead, and threw their bodies aside. Suddenly the entire room went ice cold and I could see ice crystals forming along the walls and floor. “Cryomancers? What in the fuck is happening?” Viper shouted in my mind. “I have no fucking idea.” I snarled, hurtling a red flame through my hands across the floor and walls, effectively melting the ice. I wasn’t even surprised at anything at this point. It seems The Others had been busy. I watched the doorway as two Vampire Cryomancer Hybrids came walking through with ice weapons in their hands.
