Ice Planet Barbarians In Order Novels & Stories

" Ready and waiting, my parents flipped the water switch, while I grabbed the high-pressure cannon connected to the boiling water generator and aimed it at the bald leader charging in the front. Accompanied by the roar of a pressure cannon, a pressurized stream of water blasted out like a cutting jet. The scalding water hit Hailey's face first, instantly scalding her skin before the extreme cold air flash-froze it into a jagged mask of ice. "Ah!" The bald leader barely had the chance to throw his fireball before the water jet hit him square in the face. His ax clattered to the ground as the fireball sputtered out. Icicles immediately formed over his burned face, while his raw, scalded flesh

"Well. It’s nice to know the rest of the planet is handling this with level-headed diplomacy." "They're terrified because they don't understand the Source," Baraka said, stepping into the center of the dirt ring. He rolled his shoulders, popping the stiffness out of his newly healed right arm. "They look at the map and see monsters. We have to show them they're wrong. Jabari. Neema. Positions." Jabari stepped into the ring from the left, his skin instantly hardening into jagged, reflective black obsidian. Neema stepped in from the right, her hands glowing with bright, vibrating white acoustic energy.

***Beatrice's POV*** The sound of seagulls and the gentle breeze stirred me awake. I push myself off the cold, hard surface. As I rubbed my eyes, I couldn't believe what I saw. A beautiful Greek oasis lay before me, complete with a circle of white columns ornamented with sheer fabric dancing in the soft, salty breeze. The worked stone floors created trim levels, descending onto a square pond in the center where water sparkles like crystals under the warm sunlight. The cool water beckoned me to touch it, and as I leaned over the edge, I saw my reflection. The scenery wasn’t the only thing that had changed. My ragged and volcanic ash-dusted clothes were now pristine white, with no tears. I wor

Somebody went down hard. I whistled. “Stop.” Everyone stilled. I looked at Kai across the ice. “They came to my side so we could do something useful together. Not so you could declare war on them.” My voice carried cleanly in the cold air. “We are one team. That’s the whole point.”

My back arched slightly off the furs, and I heard him make a low sound in his throat, something between amusement and something rougher. "Lucian," I breathed. "Yes?" "I hate you," I managed, though it held no real heat at all. "Really? Because I hate you barbarians more." He said in a harsh tone. I did not have a response for that, not with the way his mouth moved lower, and not with the way my thoughts scattered every time he found some new place to press his attention.

Her expression darkened, and I could see the anger simmering within her through her eyes. “Because he’s a monster,” she spat. “Two-faced, vile, and cruel. He hides behind a mask of benevolence, but in truth, he’s bled this kingdom dry. The people are too scared to do anything, so we’ve formed a group of strong, brave souls to fight against the injustice he has wrought upon our kingdom.”

They shouted pledging their allegiance to her and accepting to her. “ The one we all needed. I am more than anyone else.” Arkyn whispered to the top of her head, Alice turned in his arms, wrapping her arms around his neck. “You saved me first, it's only fair I saved you back.” Alice laughed standing on her tippy toes kissing him. “For the first time in years the pack lands were untied and it was all because a Barbarbic Alpha fell in love with a woman who broke through his ice cold heart.” Locklin chuckled from the table, raising his glass as he said it.

It listed rules like it was preparing her for war. Rule 1: Obey without hesitation. Rule 2: Never start a conversation unless addressed. Rule 3: The Fire King sees everything. Rule 4: Mistakes are corrected. Painfully. Rule 5: Never cry in front of the King. She swallowed. So this was the world she had been bought into. Yet despite the cold warning of the rules, Alexander’s actions told a confusing different story. He didn’t hit her. He didn’t threaten her. He didn’t treat her like a thing.

Lucas skated toward me slowly and asked with an arrogant voice “You really think you can challenge me?” A smirk appeared on my face and I said with a mocking tone “I think you talk too much.” Hearing it, his expression darkened, and then we collided violently. The impact echoed through the rink. We fought hard and fast across the ice while teammates shouted around us. Lucas was stronger physically but I was angrier and anger made people dangerous. He slammed me against the wall and he hissed near my ear “You’ll never be Alpha of our clan,” Hearing it, anger appeared on my face and I punched him directly across the jaw. Gasps erupted around us.

Now that they had marked him, Rafael intended to keep that perimeter secure. As they broke the huddle and glided toward the tunnel, however, the scent of him was already buzzing in all six of their heads. When the Stormbreakers hit the ice, they functioned as a single, predatory hivemind. It was the source of their greatness—and what had nearly destroyed them when Lyon’s early media hit pieces forced them into a cycle of frantic substitutions. But now that he was theirs, he had fused the pack together more tightly than any drill ever could. The Reserve Squad veered off to run secondary patterns, but the six Alphas took a slow, deliberate lap around the perimeter of the Pacific Ice Arena to s
