“What are you going to name it?” I looked down at it, and it stared back into my eyes with its grey ones, panting heavily. Grinning, I remembered how it was attacking the farmers so madly when they had tried to touch it. Like a zombie. Now that I thought about it, it made me giggle. The sight of a little pig trying to kill three full giant farmers. “Frankenswine.” I giggled, “let’s name it Frankenswine.”

"The last one actually succeeded, you know. She was named a Chosen Mate. It broke the Grand Luna’s heart for months. It was so long ago... I forget her name. But I remember how she looked when she died." Serena’s smile widened, showing teeth. "Have you ever seen wild boars feed?" Liuying was like a bird with a broken wing, shivering violently. "People think pigs are docile vegetarians. But they aren't. They are omnivores. They eat anything. If it falls into their trough, it becomes food. Chicken, duck, fish... meat." Serena stepped closer, her shadow falling over the girl. "They eat pork, too. Sometimes, if a piglet falls into the feeding frenzy, the adults will eat their own young."

He looked at me with the particular scepticism of someone who has been promised things before. “I’m going to teach you how to disappear,” I said. He frowned. “What, like a magic trick?” “Like biology.” I pointed to my eyes. “Every human being has a blind spot. Where the optic nerve meets the retina the brain just fills in the blanks and you never notice what’s missing. In hockey, that spot gets bigger. The cage, the padding, the helmet they create pockets of nothing. If you stay in that gap, you don’t exist to the defender.”

Piggy shrugged before going to sit on the furniture he sat on earlier, “Its impossible, even if you change your name, your hair colour won't change I'll still call you Violet.” Violet eyes drooped, then she laid flat on the bed, fast asleep. Piggy laughed, “She doesn't even ask anything about me yet she's comfortable with me. Weird” He stood up from the furniture and walked towards Violet. His smile widened when he saw Violet chew on her mouth. She must've been hungry— “What are you doing Fatty?” Fatty jumped, surprised by the caretaker sudden appearance.

Out of nowhere, a talking piglet with small white-colored wings came to their table. “Fish n’ chips with one glass sherbet,” Cent replied without looking at the menu on the table. Matilda followed suit, “A fifty-year-old brain and water.” “On it! Please wait for a few minutes!” The crew snorted before flapping her tiny wings as she trotted away from their table, heading to the table nearest to them which was ten meters away at least. Cent’s curiosity-laden gaze that followed the flying piglet was cut off by Matilda’s antic – waving the pamphlet in front of her face. “Hey, girlie. Do you have a copy of this already?”

Peta had run as fast and as far as he could but he had been caught just like all the rest. The rest of the night he had spent with the pigs, terrified they would grow hungry.
