Icebreakers Book Pages Novels & Stories

I dump my bag on the floor and read through the shelf while pulling books out and mumble as I go. ‘Even a book can be dangerous in the wrong hands.’ ‘Ignite.’ ‘Hell is empty and all the devils are here.’ ‘You’ll make bad choices. Sometimes you’ll choose the best of bad ones.’ ‘Tuesday is Fucked.’ ‘Everything’s a game. And now it’s your turn.’ I have a stack of about 10 books before I abruptly stop. "Next isle." I say and we walk up and down the library isles. I climb and jump to get books off of shelves and Aidan has to catch me a couple of times when I fell.

moving on to the next page. The husband, i paused at that, did i skip a page? my eyes travel to the previous page yeah, i was just reading on the capo i expected a continuation from there not another topic entirely. when my eyes travel to the bottom of the page it said page 4, on the next page its numbered page 18. what the hell? It seems some pages are missing, when I take a closer look at the middle of the book gasped, more like ripped out. "Some pages are missing" I said out loud.

Any bit of force will rip a page mercilessly. There's no title. No author name. I find it strange, especially because someone put it on my bed. I'm starting to wonder if perhaps this is something Petra or the other contestants have done. I quickly search the book and find nothing within the pages. Odd. I start to read the first page. It's detailing the history of our world and how packs used to be ranked. I'm just about to flip to the next page when a knock on my door makes my heart jump out of my chest.

For just a second the pain stopped. I quickly opened up the book to a random page once the aching in my chest started back up. The first page I set eyes on didn't even have a fighting chance. I stabbed it and tore though it not even giving anyone a chance to react. Slowly the page started to catch on fire and ash instantly formed. Once the page completely turned to ash I lifted up the book and brushed off the pieces that use to be the page. A siren started inside the room and multiple screens filled the walls. I spun around going through all universes and landed on the universe I knew it was reporting on.

Luna's Pov I began to flip the pages frantically, my eyes roaming them as I expected some sort of hidden page filled with all the information we needed. “Why is it all blank?” I asked, turning the pages with so much furiosity that I could have ripped the pages apart. It was Emily who had to stop me. " Just calm down. She pleaded, pulling me away from the book, “Nikkie, are you sure this is the one?” She asked, as Elaine closed the book. It was indeed Silver & Gold, so what was the damned issue?

I glared at him. "I need time. Please, don't waste your time coming here? I want---" I didn't finish my line when my head suddenly throbs. My eyes became blurry and my stomach is in pain again. "Are you okay? Lucy, wake up!" The only voice I heard before I lost my consciousness. --- Eloisa POV

Adrian asked, his hands pausing on his laces. "Let me see your left foot." Ethan gently gripped the toe of Adrian's boot, tilting it toward the harsh fluorescent light. He pointed to the structural seam. "Look at this. The locking mechanism is completely loose. If you take a hard turn on the ice, this blade is going to snap right out of the holder." Adrian’s eyes narrowed. He reached down and gave the steel runner a firm tug. With a sickening click, the blade wobbled loosely in his hand. If he had stepped onto the ice, his ankle would have snapped the moment he crossed the blue line.

“Go home, eat well, and sleep well. We will play again tomorrow.” That night, sleep refused to come. Max lay on his back, staring at the ceiling, the faint glow of streetlights cutting through the blinds. Every time he closed his eyes, the voices would come back. Noa’s steady, certain tone: Drop it, focus and we win this. Coach Elias’s cold, pressuring one: This deal puts you in a higher market, fast. “Damn it,” he muttered and turned onto his side. Then onto his back again. The voices continued.

“All great then. We’ll see you in the library.” Wait…my chest sank. What had I just agreed to? But instead of leaving, she turned to the counter, pointed lazily at the pellet, and made a face. “What the hell is that?” Jade winked. “I’m sure Myles wouldn’t mind explaining. Right, Myles?” She turned slyly toward me. I began to back away. “Uh…I should…but…I just realized we’re a burner short.” “Burner?” “No, beaker.”

Our little celebration was interrupted by a loud knock at the door. I opened the door to see Sammy, Matt, Johnson, and Nash. They barged into our room and made them selves at home, not even waiting for an invite. "So did you enjoy Gilinsky's fingers?" Nash said so casually as he stuffed his face with chips. "What the fuck? You told them before you told me?" I swear I thought Ella was about to slap me. "What hell no! I didn't tell them shit, Jack must've told them because I didn't"
