Suddenly, something bizarre happened. The crimson liquid inside the chalice split into two parts, a golden red liquid which swirled in one side and a murky brownish red slush in the other part. Wait. Did the two parts belong to Celina and Clara? What did that mean?
“Impressive. Your mate has such powerful blood,” the witch murmured, her gaze fixed on the swirling golden red liquid, a greedy look in those beady eyes.
“That’s my mate’s blood. Keep your thoughts to yourself,” I warned her, my voice a growl. She was not touching her blood. Never!
