"Hey! That's my toy!" I watch as the kid cries for her toy, being bullied by older kids. I stood up from the roof and walked away, I hate seeing such scenarios. I walked towards the Grymkin's forest, my clan's forest, this is where my clan moved after someone had spread a hideous rumor about us, which is true. Our clan controls fire. The kingdom has given us the title of "Grymkin's Protector" when in fact we can burn this forest down into ashes.

Lia's POV The club was impossible to miss—a sleek, modern building with matte black exterior and the name "ONYX" in glowing white neon letters above the entrance. A line of well-dressed people snaked down the sidewalk, waiting to get past the velvet ropes where two large bouncers were checking IDs and deciding who was cool enough to enter. We climbed out of the Uber and I immediately felt self-conscious. The line was long and everyone looked impossibly stylish and beautiful and like they belonged here in a way I wasn't sure I did.

According to Sasha, the other cliques in Wani Academy were: | ICE-NINS = students who were rich, good-looking, and had ice-cold hearts; the females were into geisha makeup; in a word, cool but cold CHEERLEADER-NINS = girlfriend pool for the Jock-nins and would sometimes fall in with the Ice-nins but, in general, had more empathy than the Ice-nins OTAKU-NINS = geeks who were obsessed with ukiyo-e trading cards, comics or the study of History, always fangirling on world-famous Slayers

I looked at the pictures again. “Are you sure?” I asked. I heard how it sounded but I couldn’t help it. “You’re absolutely sure that’s your brother?” Maya looked at me with patient eyes. “I know it’s strange. We left my father’s house when we were young. My mum took us and we never went back.” She glanced at the screen. “He wouldn’t recognise me now. I don’t even know if he remembers what I look like.” She paused. “I did my research though. I found out he plays hockey. That he’s at the same academy as Noah.” Something wistful moved across her face. “Maybe one day Noah will introduce me to him.”

My eyes followed the Jammer in black, I think Roxie said her name was Aerial, but it didn't matter-all I knew was little girls needed to aspire to this, not boys with bank accounts. The night with the derby girls was over sooner than I had wanted it to be. I felt like I'd been inducted into a secret society, and I never wanted to leave. Roxie assured me I could find videos of previous bouts, things fans had put together, if I wanted to keep up with them, and offered to bring me back anytime I wanted to come. I eagerly told her to get me a schedule so we could make plans. I had to have more.

He beamed. “Thank God though,” I replied. My statement isn’t intended to hurt his feelings. I am just telling him what a relief it is to have those spare of idols. “Is Hunter Looney part of those idol models?” he asked. I nodded. “Well, InfiniteX is included and Hunter is part of that group so he is needed. We also have Bisk, Minute Girls, PinkA, and B2B as well,” I replied. He nodded. “Well, you have a pretty big line up.” He complimented.

Isabella’s POV Vixxen’s Private Gentleman’s Club was a plain enough building from the outside. In fact, it didn’t even have a big neon sign or a billboard to announce its presence. Instead, a brass-enameled plaque was the only thing on the completely black building. The sign simply says, Vixxen’s Private Gentleman’s Club – Members Only. There was no lineup, which means it’s ultra-exclusive. Probably Mafia, elite businessmen, and politicians frequented here for privacy and anonymity. Two giants of men stood guard at the front entrance to ensure privacy.

“You got rejected by Xyrus but gained someone better. We heard that you and our Grey Preston are close.” Her statement filled me with bitterness. I got rejected by both, dumbass. “Well yeah... Grey is courting me.” I smiled boastfully after flipping my gorgeous hair. They all squealed. “OMG! My ship is sailing!” “Gria for the win!” “Are you–” “Yes, we are XnG. Xyrus and Grey fans club!” the leader proudly presented. “Aren’t you going to bully me? I mean one of your boys is courting me. Fans are usually over possessive.” I looked at their faces and I could tell they’re fantasizing over my hair.

This time, I’m not quick enough to stop my dragon from purring. “Ugh! How long does this part last? It’s so embarrassing,” I grumble. “Sweetheart, it never goes away. If anything, it only gets stronger like your Aunt Kay said,” Mom says. “I don’t find it embarrassing at all. I like it,” Iniko says, then begins purring loudly, making me blush. He presses a quick kiss to my head again, then turns back to the room. “So, when will we get our new class schedule?”
