When you leave your heart behind

When you leave your heart behind

"You are and always will be the most beautiful thing I have ever seen in my life, I love you." ( the image of a golden pink heart) After reading it my hands started shaking and I dropped the card on the floor my heart started beating fast and I took in my hands my Florentine heart charm, which was the gift from that person I loved so much. "It can't be, this is not happening I am hallucinating, I am dreaming is this possible," I said out loud. When I heard a voice I thought I would never hear again in my life. "Hello, beautiful you missed me"...

The Barbarian's Pleasure

The Barbarian's Pleasure

Wondering how they could possibly have just sprouted from my back. No way would my family have kept something like this from me. No one else had wings. I’d never even heard tales of such things. Certainly not in my family. I had so many more questions for my brother… If he’s even really my brother. I closed my eyes, breathed in the wind and let it lift me. Letting my wings do what they felt they should. Without even feeling it, I’d raised into the air. Leaving my feet dangling above the land. Mardichi hazarded a look up at me. “Stay up there, Lass.”

The Whispers of Heart

The Whispers of Heart

Whispers of the Heart reflects his signature approach: storytelling rooted in emotional truth, connection, and the quiet strength of vulnerability. This marks his 19th book in English and his 37th publication overall, with previous works translated into German and Spanish. Whether writing about love, loss, or personal transformation, Dr. Chinamo’s mission remains constant, that is to bring light into the darkest corners of the human experience, and to remind readers that even after heartbreak, the heart still whispers. One Night with the Hybrid King

One Night with the Hybrid King

Damn it, damn it, damn it! With every beat of my wings, I feel the weight of the frustration building in my chest. The cold morning wind cuts through my bird form, but not even that can erase the heat of the rage burning inside me. My eyes, sharpened in the transformation, clearly see the moment when Caelum approaches the children. My heart, even hardened by years of calculation and strategy, leaps involuntarily. He found them.

Hellblades

Hellblades

No one… except Bengü. I caught her gaze in the instant before the water closed over my head, her eyes narrowed and calculating. How odd. I cut through the waves in my human form. Salt burned my eyes, stung my throat, but I didn’t slow down. My heart hammered too fast for my liking, a vicious reminder of the one thing I lacked. Wings. If only I had them still. Those glorious, gleaming wings I once stretched across the skies, catching starlight as though it belonged to me.

The Whispers of my heart

The Whispers of my heart

Like love that refused to be tamed. She had brought him here years ago, when they were still just friends pretending they weren’t something more. She had knelt in the grass, fingers brushing the petals, and said, “I want to be like these. I want to grow wherever I’m planted, even if no one sees me.” And he hadn’t seen her. Not then. But he did now. And he would never stop. He stepped onto the path, gravel soft under his boots. The air was warm, thick with the scent of blooming clover and damp soil. A dragonfly darted over the water. A frog plopped into the lake, sending ripples across the surface. Somewhere, a woodpecker tapped against bark.

When the Wind Carries My Heartache

When the Wind Carries My Heartache

But I didn't want to deal with either of them ever again. I turned off my phone and stuffed it into my pocket. My heart felt calm. As the plane slowly lifted off the ground, the city below grew smaller and smaller until I could no longer make out its shape. All those painful memories faded along with it. The wounds left by family, the heartbreak from love… They would all fade with time. Vincent wouldn't leave Emily, and he definitely wouldn't fly overseas to find me. As for my dad, he'd just stay home, drinking and screaming at me and at my mom, who had long since passed.

Whispers of the Heart

Whispers of the Heart

Our bodies expressed what mere words could not. Just hours ago, I thought my world was crashing down all around me and I had lost the very beat of my heart. Now, I was this new person. The last fragment of my transition into adulthood was complete and I had absolutely no regrets about the timing, the person I had shared that with and the beautiful experience we had together.

SOLD TO THE VOID ALPHA: THE REJECTED HEIRESS

SOLD TO THE VOID ALPHA: THE REJECTED HEIRESS

My heart, which had been a cold lump of metal, gave a single, thunderous beat that shattered the leaden casing of my chest. "MY... CITY..." The voice that tore from my throat wasn't human. It was the roar of the earth itself. The lead exploded. I didn't step out of the statue; I burst from it. My wings were no longer obsidian or platinum; they were massive, shimmering leaves of emerald glass, edged with thorns that dripped with a lethal, glowing nectar. My skin was a deep, polished bronze, etched with glowing green veins that hummed with the "New-Point" frequency.

The Exiled Dragon

The Exiled Dragon

Her wings fell back into her body, screaming. Covering my mouth, a sob wrecked through me. I had forgotten she would feel the pain, too. Too worried about watching Mortus breathe his last breaths. The warrior, his eyes solemn with pity, gently gathered her in his arms, picked her up. Her head leaned into his chest, gripping his uniform. “Leave me,” she cried again. Wings sprung forth from his body, shaking his head. His wings hummed in the pattern of a hummingbird and took flight to the palace.

Honestly, this is the best book I have read on this app. Such mature and thorough writing. Interesting storyline and characters you fall in love with. It's incredibly unique. I will be reading every single book this writer puts out.
