If Only I Had Told Her Novels & Stories

"I'm sorry. I knew you'd tell me to break up with him if I told you." "You could have at least told me first! What if something had happened to you in the process?" I ask again. She's right; I would have told her to break up with him if she had told me because I can't stand a jobless guy toying with my friend. It's not something to write home about.

I wanted to tell her that I knew who she was and thank her for being the one person who gave me a better life. I wanted to tell her about dad, that he lost all the memories of her, the memories that he buried inside of him, the ones that ran him so insane that he hated me for taking her away. Most of all, I wanted to tell her I loved her and that I never for one day forgot about her. And I did tell her, after which a deep breath escaped my lips. The tears seized and a smile crept to my lips because I was sure she heard everything that I told her, I’ve been convinced since I was young she did.

I told her. "Then a penny for those thoughts" She requested when she realized I wasn't going to be forthcoming with what was happening. I exhaled sharply then took my time to look at her. I had wanted to tell her that her uncle was dead, and about the cause of his death, but I couldn’t. All the courage that I had gathered just disappeared with the wind.
