As soon as we were out of earshot, he leaned closer and whispered to me, “Alpha Xavier is here, along with Tyler, and you won’t believe who just walked right in on his own.” “Who?” I asked, curiosity eating away at me. “Kaiden,” he said, and my eyes shot upward. He was not joking. I noticed Xavier with two women: the young one named Vienna and the older one Elarian called Gabby, who had stayed with them back at Xavier's pack. Tyler was whispering something to Xavier, and just as I was about to take a step toward them, I noticed the person standing right behind them, and my expression turned rigid.

Hank, too, is staring at my momma with lust in his eyes. “Take her to the lineup.” Momma says to the women and I’m pulled away and I act terrified. I know I will be saved, but I have to act scared. I hear a roar and turn my head and I see the most beautiful creature I have ever seen. This must be the Patger. It is pacing nervously in the cage. It’s all black with faint orange stripes underneath. The face is like a tiger. It has amber-green eyes. It looks right at me and I just stare back. This is so wrong.

I intended to show them the pack lands, but he has started pacing in my head, practically desperate to hunt her. I toss Piper a towel and a bottle of water. “You are incredible, my mate,” I say, kissing her. “Thank you,” she says, grinning. Her face is flushed but her eyes are bright and she looks happy. Very happy. It makes me happy. “Excuse me, Luna?” I look down to see the young pup who is tapping on Piper’s thigh. “Carrie-Ann, don’t bother Alpha Piper,” her mother says walking over. “It’s no bother,” Piper says, crouching down in front of the pup. She’s only four. “What can I do for you, sweetheart?”

Her nose wrinkled at the scent, but it was more of a forest scent than anything else. "A patrol is coming," Wildheart murmured. "Be on your guard." Sprucepaw watched carefully as three cats stepped forward. Sure enough Wildheart was right about the patrol. A ginger-brown tom with tabby markings was the first to glare at Wildheart. Beside him was an older looking apprentice-aged cat. Her tortoiseshell fur was bristling with annoyance when she spotted Sprucepaw. Third to come forward was a dark gray, almost black tom with pale yellow eyes.

He asked dumfounded. "No what's that..." She asked confused. "With whom do you live..." He asked in disbelief. "My pets... Luca, Leonardo and Silas..." She smiled at the mention of their name. "Cool I have a pet too... It's a dog... What do you have..." He fixed his cap as he walked along side her. "Luca is black panther... Leonardo is leopard and Silas is a white tiger, the latter is very naughty always gets in trouble..." She answered and he froze in his place.

It's somewhat cute. "Oh, I like this one. Mudi." "Um..." That's not even a name. It's just a breed name. "Okay. We'll go with Mudi." Lupus spoke and nodded excitedly. "Oh okay, Mudi." His eyes landed on me making me immediately face the pizza. After eating they decided to go jog while I tidied up the house. It's been so long since I cleaned. It was always Lupus doing the job while I'm at school.

Eventually Duke sat down next to Leila, and the other wolves moved forward to greet her. It was obvious who Beta Dimitri, Beta Jax, and Colby were. Even though Beta Dimitri was the largest, Beta Jax wasn’t far behind him, and Colby was the smallest. All 3 were dark brown with one cream spot on their right front paw. They all had the same color eyes as they did as humans. Gamma Peter, and Gamma Ross were gray with a black stripe down their back. Molly was cream with brown spots. Melissa was also cream, but she had black spots.

We continued talking for a while until Mika came in. "Hey baby, how's our pups doing?" I glanced at Paige, who looked confused when he called them pups, but she didn't say anything. Mika had been referring to them as pups most of the time since I told him that's what my people called our young. He thought it was the cutest thing and that it fit with our rescue, which was named 'Blue's Wildlife Rescue Center' after a wolfdog that Mika had owned growing up.

It almost made me want to run, but I bet they would chase after me once I left. After staying with me for a long time, I learned their names; Saye and Arlo are twins, and Jippis is their older brother. Camila is the normal-looking girl, Kaze is the large dog, and Takkar is the giant. I was initially scared of them, but when Kaze approached me as he changed his size to that of a puppy and flashed his cute puppy eyes, I couldn't help but hug him. I got to know this group of people, and my fear of them faded. Although they don't look like ordinary people with different hair colors, eyes, and species, except for Camila, I'm not afraid of them.

Elle said and Kyle came out of the kitchen and walked towards Elle. "What's the problem?" He asked "She has a nose bleed" Elle said "My Pet?" Kyle said as he turned to Eva and Elle nodded "I'm not your pet Kyle" Eva said and Kyle smiled "Okk..Since you are not my pet, stop your nose bleed yourself" He said about to walk back to the kitchen when Eva said "Fine, fine, fine. I'm your Pet" Kyle had a small smile on his face when he heard her and said "Not convincing enough". Eva sighed and said in a playful voice "I'm your Pet. Your one and only Pet". Kyle smirked and walked towards her and held her hand as he went to where he kept the first aid.
