The Lonely Howl

The Lonely Howl

I was the happiest woman alive, I wished to relive the night over and over and over again till eternity. If we spent the night together, it only meant he saw me as his mate, and he was also in love with me, right? That was why he could not resist the temptation because he craved for my body the same way I craved for his. I looked at the bruises on my arms, it was all worth it. But my smile faded when Lucian was nowhere to be found. I looked side to side, expecting to see him on the other side, but I was well aware from the time I had awoken that I was alone.

Love, Covid and Everything in Between

Love, Covid and Everything in Between

The closest thing to a friend I have right now is Nelson, from next door, who’s an even bigger bibliophile than I am. It took me quite some time to get used to living alone in the house my grandmother had left me. On most days, I feel lonely. I feel like all my life has been about holding myself together with tape and glue. Every day I’m trying to keep myself from falling apart. So things like online book auctions, reading, watching horror and thrillers and writing — these things take my mind off the loneliness. While I was drowning myself in thought, I got an iMessage from Nelson.

Lion Alpha

Lion Alpha

I couldn't place any lock because there was none. ~~~~ I was sitting alone, on the bed, my hands placed beside me as loneliness drowned me as I scanned around the room. Everything was placed in different positions in accordance with how a two bedroom apartment should be arranged, but it was just a single room in different sections, with its bedroom demarcated with a very thin board from the other section.

I smiled as I found a seat on one of its adjacent benches. It was impossible to feel alone in this place, with its bustle and crowds, yet for the first time since my early days in California, I was lonely. It wasn't something sudden: whether it was the fact that I'd finished the job I'd come out here to do, or the fun I'd had while Zelda was visiting, bringing me a tempting taste of home, or just that my texting-only relationship with Leo had escalated to a point where I physically ached to see him again, my longing for the familiar had been building steadily. I was down to the very end of my cone, about to take the last bite, when I felt a hand on my shoulder and heard a familiar voice.

Arnie of Mutley
I loved this book, it touched me deeply. Beautifully written, characters & situations are well described and the story gave meaning to deep feelings that arrise from difficult situations many people face in their lives. I would certainly read more books by this author.

Such a great book! Hands down one of the best I’ve read on here to date. I went through all the emotions reading Mia and Leo’s story…I laughed, cried and got mad at some point through their journey of friendship, love and growth. Definitely give this book a read!

Dionysus Rising ( A Rockstar Romance) books 1-3

Dionysus Rising ( A Rockstar Romance) books 1-3

And I couldn't wait for that. Lola made my place into a home. Usually, it was somewhere I hated coming back to. Too white, too empty, too naked of all life that I did everything in my power to avoid it. Which was strange because it was exactly what I had always wanted. A penthouse, looking out over the city. Here I was king. A man at the pinnacle of his career. Or so I had thought. Until the first night I'd moved in and the stark loneliness of it hit me. I was all of those things I had dreamt of and more. And it was the more that crushed me because for someone who was surrounded by people all the damn time, I was alone where it really mattered.

The Way He Looked at Me

The Way He Looked at Me

An older man unlocked a shop front with slow, deliberate movements. I watched them the way I always did, turning it into a quiet, private game. Does she go home to an empty apartment? Does he lie awake at three in the morning and wonder if any of it means something? I existed in this strange in-between not wanting anyone to see my loneliness, but finding strange, thin comfort in the possibility that I wasn't the only one carrying it. That somewhere behind all these pleasant smiles and morning routines, someone else was holding the exact same weight. The thought didn't fix anything.

Dumped ,Because His Her Is Back

Dumped ,Because His Her Is Back

The first thing he noticed was the echo. It filled every corner of his apartment a hollow sound that wasn’t quite silence but not quite life either. Every footstep, every turn of a page, every breath felt too loud. He’d never realized how lonely walls could sound until now. Liam sat at his kitchen table, half-drunk coffee cooling beside him, unread messages flooding his phone. He hadn’t checked them all. He didn’t have the heart to. The ones he had opened were enough to sting strangers’ opinions written in confident ignorance.

The luna’s misery

The luna’s misery

Limene gave a small growl, not in anger, but because that’s all she could do. “Don’t be scared. I’m here with you,” Ellias said, his smile soft but pained. It was like he could see through me, through the fur, through Limene, straight into the small, broken girl hiding inside. Since he left the cave earlier, I had been alone with my thoughts. Alone with myself. Alone like I had always been since birth. The loneliness felt heavier tonight than it had ever felt before. I had always been lonely, yes, but this time it was like my soul itself was howling silently, a howl that nobody could hear.

Virgin Sacrifice To The Last Lycan

Virgin Sacrifice To The Last Lycan

My butt hit the floor; my palm secured over the fresh gash. Joy was pacing trenches through my head at this point. [Mate will be mad—very mad] “Understandably so,” I groan, crawling through the dimly lit cell to feel up the length of the bars. It wasn’t long before I hit the first looping chain, the locks weighing heavier than I bet the metal in the bars had weighed. “This isn’t going to be good, Joy.” I curled up, needing warmth, as the cold space where Justin had been this morning suddenly felt bare and untethered. Loneliness has never been unfamiliar to me, especially after Scott’s betrayal, I thought for a moment I could be alone forever after that.

We also have a hard time distinguishing in extremely crowded areas where scent can mix and mingle. I follow him from the woods where we reside in a large older house, all the way into the city and in to the next one over. I move as quickly as I can, dying to know what Jonah is up to. It takes me a moment to find him, as he is also invisible, but soon he appears and I find him trailing the girls. They walk together through a park area, a bag of food and drinks, and a notebook? I believe it's a notebook.
